VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

In the coming months.
I'm happy to see how AIB 56's come out, and when pricing goes sensible, as there's no way these will stick at the pack price of 450.

I can understand why people would buy at 380, although I couldn't myself.

£350ish is the max I can ever justify paying for a gpu but if good AIBs come out at 380 then I will have to have a good think about it (maybe beg the bank of mum and dad for the extra 30 :p )

Going for the Vega 56 pack at over 450 pound seems absolutely stupid.
They're on sale right now on Steam.
Honestly if anyone can't get Vega 56 at the "launch price" or didn't manage to snag 64 at its "launch price" I wouldn't bother at all.
Launch price is ok if your on freesync like me where getting a 1070/1080 wouldn't be worth the loss of freesync but for anyone else? madness i say!
The bundles are just plain bad value even if you want the games and downright robbery if you don't.

Seems most regular members aren't so stupid to buy at least not yet!

I was :), but with my 390 being worth stupid money on the bay its a no brainer, will cost me 150-200 to upgrade an older card

Asus are making one based on their strix cooler which is rumoured to be coming next month. Don't remember seeing many others advertised so far =/

I've seen, its just that it takes too long between reference launch and AIB release, certainly felt like that with the Polaris launch too, can't comment on if it was the same with Nvidia because I haven't watched any of their launches with any sort of scrutiny

Well this has been one big fat fail this entire vega release.....

Just a sign of things to come for PC gaming, wouldn't surprise me if PC retailers go out of business in a few years time and they will have no one but themselves to blame, they are just concentrating on short term goals and not considering what impact their actions will have in the long run, miners may be keeping the ship afloat for now but what happens when that bubble inevitably bursts and the vast majority of "gamers" invest back into the console(s) ecosystem (which is extremely good now especially sony/PS4)? Every month more and more "PC gamers/elitists" are jumping ship to consoles due to the pricing of PC gaming costs, it is not a matter of people not being able to afford it, it is simply a matter of principles and not paying over the odds for a slightly better experience in a few areas......

Personally, I won't be supporting amd/nvidia/retailers at all, I'll just buy second hand from now on, I'll sleep better knowing that greedy companies aren't getting my money directly.

Yeah, Prey is £20 on Steam right now and Wolfenstein is on pre-order at £40. Bundle price at +£90 seems inflated.

Think I'll wait for the AIBs. Just hope there's no mining-software update that causes the price to explode...

This is simply down to the circle jerk mob mentality among the regular users that all of these types of forums have. Good luck getting an AIB Vega 56 for less than £450 in the next few months. If you didn't jump at the introductory price you then missed out, simple as that!.

Managed to get a standalone Sapphire Vega 56 order in... albeit hesitantly. It is a pricey offering, I cancelled it then a few mins later changed my mind!.. Ultimately, I was enthused by the undervolting potential and access to FreeSync. Moving from an GTX 980 (Asus Strix) - what are your views on relative performance?

People just won't buy them then.
Why would anyone pay 450 pound for an AIB Vega 56 when you can get an AIB 1080 for around that.

Literally, with AMD's pricing Nvidia has to do nothing. Just keep ticking along until Volta and smash AMD again. If Nvidia took up adaptive sync I'd jump on that 1070.

But the introductory price wasn't worth it... so why would anyone be looking at a AIB Vega 56 for less than £450? There is the green team alternative. You know, which uses way way less power and less heat.
