Veganism

It is human nature to survive on an omnivorous diet. I couldnt imagine not drinking milk, eating cheese, eggs or meat. Where else do you get such a big amount of protein from, except Quorn...which tastes like shizzle.

Trying to work out whether he meant who you were referring to or the people pushing their feelings onto you.

It is selfish to preach about your morals and force them upon others, as you're trying to make others be more like you and do what you think is right, so I'm guessing he means the people preaching have a selfish attitude.

On topic, I hate people who preach. About anything. I don't care what other people eat, look like, believe in religious wise, anything as long as they bloody well leave me alone to get on with my life.

I was saying it's silly to agree with that selfish statement.

If no-one cared about anything unless it affected them then a certain guy called Hitler would have done a lot better a few years ago...

Then i also wonder a lot of the time why both vegans and vegetarians think that eating vegetables is ok, they are living things and are pulled out of the ground or off the tree (although eating seeds ie nuts, apples etc. is ok) and processed and eaten just like animals and fish.

Because if they couldn't eat vegetables there wouldn't be anything for them to eat. :p

But I agree, i also have trouble with that one. Plants are living things too.

Erm....so because I said that I didn't mind what people ate, what they look like or what religion they have.....that means I'd sit back and watch Hitler murder people?
I think you've completely misinterpreted me (and Roberta) there.

What I meant, to spell it out to you, is I don't care if someone's a vegetarian, a vegan, vogan, vulcan, black, white, purple, green, christian, jewish, muslim, hindu or jedi, as long as they don't force it on me.

When it comes to mass genocide, then yes, funnily enough I do have a problem with that and yes I would make a big fuss.

Could someone please explain to me why a vegan would not eat an egg from one of our chickens. The girls have the right to roam freely, they are very happy and well fed and lay eggs which are infertile. They have no inclination to sit on them, so we cook the eggs and eat them. Why then would I be accused of exploiting my chickens, as I was the other day? The eggs would go to waste if we did not take them and the chickens are not unhappy.

Veggies that eat fish do my head in, also veggies who are only veggies and not vegan, they are obviously trying to make a statement.
