Vegas Hotels

Cosmopolitan is great stayed in september as part of a route 66 drive with 2 of my best friends, stayed 3 nights, arrived friday left monday. Saw the canelo alvarez/josesito lopez fight in the mgm grand on the saturday night which was a great introduction to live boxing. The Wicked Spoon cafe in the cosmo is a must for breakfast, we only went one day although we received 2 free breakfasts per day of the stay, we got a fountain (Bellagio) view room in the west tower

Where is the best place to buy show tickets from? I am about to book on lasvegas.com

Tix 4 Tonight are pretty much up and down the strip everywhere. (Fashion Mall, Casino Royale etc) http://www.tix4tonight.com/

They offer tickets at usually half the going rate (For Certain Shows) at the respective casino's. Used them before and got a great price to see David Spade, they can get rather busy though at certain times throughout the day.

So when you get over if you do feel the urge to check out a specific show I would definitely check them out.

tix4tonight can be good but as said queues can be big, you can get a voucher from their website for a line pass and small discount

don't expect tickets to any of the big shows to be available there though

I am heading to Vegas in the middle of February with some mates. We are going to be staying in the Mandalay Bay hotel, I have stayed here before and I was impressed with it.

It's a nice enough hotel but I just couldn't live with the location

Just arrived in the mandalay bay, its not bad but nothing special. The room maybe could do with a bit of an update but I really cant complain considering its free for 6 nights (I am only staying for 3:()

Have fun mate,as you say Mandalay is a ok 4/5*, the Hotel being the better rooms, have a great time :)

can I have 3 the spare 3 nights? ;)

Thanks, they gave us 6 nights in a 2 bed suite so my friend who I am travelling with is staying on for the CES after I go home on monday.

I had a bit of a walk around the casino and its quite small compared to some of the other hotels.

Those after electrical goods, there is a big fry's near town square. Be careful with worldwide warranties though....

North outlets and fashion show mall are best for clothes. South outlets are a bit rubbish but have a good Adidas originals store.

Holsteins have best burgers ever, the "Gold Standard" is awesome :)

I went for the longhorn, my friend had the gold standard, i not a fan of goats cheese.

I would also say its worth going to the cheesecake factory which is at the mall in caesar's palace, big portions.

Another good shout.

Cheesecake Factory was superb and the desserts were incredible.

Can anyone recommend a Hoover / Grand Canyon trip? Thinking it would be good on our last day...

I drove myself to Hoover dam - its 45 minutes away - and booked a Canyon tour with Vision Air from North Las Vegas Airport. I think it was about £100ish per person. Dead easy, 40 minute flight to the proper Grand Canyon not the ripoff West Rim con.
