It does seem very expensive compared to similar experiences elsewhere in the world - it is more expensive than both the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the Empire State Building in New York City, both of which are arguably more iconic and more sought after buildings.
My understanding was it actually was about the same as the Empire State, which is how they justified it.
Tallest building in the European Union.
And yes, I'd pay, it's not really that much in the end.
Yeah, tallest in EU, but not tallest in Europe, there's one in Russia somewhere that's taller.
To be fair, having worked near it just as it was being finished, it didn't seem that tall, but then when you get told that on a clear day you can see the sea from the top, it does kind of emphasise how tall it is...
Floor 69 is the viewing gallery (giggle away), and it's something like 30m+ for the top floor apartments.
Bottom area will be offices, then there's a hotel, with pool etc... Then the viewing gallery, then apartments. (I think) Apartments have access to hotel facilities.
Going up in February, however if it's anything like the Eiffel Tower, it might arguably be pointless as that kind of flattens everything else around it.
