Viewsonic VX2025 - PRICE REDUCTION!!

Hmmm I think Im going for the Viewsonic VX2025 the NEC is a bit to much cash and the glossy screen is a bit of a problem. Is there anyway of getting the Viewsonic VX2025 to show centered 4.3 with an ATI card?
No, that's one problem with them. The Phillips 200C6W or something from here does 1:1 pixel match though. As baddass has said, it looks like a P-MVA panel from the specs so is a quality screen as the Viewsonic but it has this feature.

More pic's please has anyone got backlight bleed im getting this or the NEC

Further to what I said earlier on in this thread, I have got backlight bleed. From both bottom corners I noticed last night.
BUT, the only time I see it is between post and windows start up. After that, no can see. I played a dark level in Half Life 2 just to see backlight, and didn't.
Although I'm no expert, the VX2025 still gets my vote.

I have v. slight bleed in each corner, but really not noticeable at all in general usage.

Having had a few weeks to play with mine i can't get over how great the image quality is. Colours are brilliant and the black levels are v.v. good. Been playing FarCry and Oblivion and they both look jaw-dropping. Delighted with my purchase.

There's some more info on here btw:

Though a lot of it is from this thread.

Im VERY tempted by this monitor now, after reading that review posted above, i just hope i dont get light bleed and things :S

So is this staying at the £340 mark or is it shooting up any time soon?

well i've got my new monitor today. It's huge! would like vertical control though it's too high on my desk which has an already raised platform. looks like no dead pixels. refused to accept dvi until i selected it in windows on the second screen :/ Movies look excellent and so do games.

lol...god sake...alll you people with two monitors..and im sat here witha Dell 19" whith the colours mesed up, deciding if i reallllly want to get a Tft over a crrt, and if i reallllly want a Widescreen over a normal ratio :(

Hah, too true :(

Just thinking, if i had a dual core 3800+/4400+, with 2 x 1gig of 3200/4000 ram, and my x1900xtx...this monitor shouldnt have any trouble running at high resoloutions should it? Or compatibility issues...

Only ask as ive never dealt with widescreen resoloutions before, and my monitors just hurting my eyes now due to the colours being borked...

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Think I might get me this.

what would happen if I plug my 17" TFT in along side?

whats res would show on the viewsonic?

If it hasnt got pixel matching will it just be 12x10 but stretched?

Both monitors will be listed seperately in your gfx card driver control panel, with their own individual resolution settings. My VX2025 is at 1680*1050 and my VX715 is at 1280*1024. You just tick the option to stretch your desktop accross both monitors, but the configuration of those monitors in terms of things like resolution remains seperate.

I tried this with a 15" tft and when I spanned desktop though the 17" would only dispaly the 15" res 1024x768?

It defaulted to the lowest settings.I could'nt span the desktop using two different resolutions?

Weird. Never had a problem with this myself.

so what you are saying is that if i get the viewsonic then I can have that at 1680 x 1050 and the 17" @ 1280x1024 over a spanned desktop?

Can someone just clairfiy this pls :)
