US: Vikings - anyone else watching this ?

Great start. Rather a slow burner, but so intense. What I admire is how complicated many of the characters are, so you often have conflicted feelings about them and are left wondering about their motives and agenda. Shocked, but not surprised, to see Rollo lurch to the dark side (again) after being somewhat softened / rehabilitated in S3. Great stuff, but waiting weekly for episodes is going to be hard work.

Ragnar is very patient and likes to take his time with things. Since the start he's not been one for rash decisions but Bjorn screwed up his plans by having Floki arrested so now he has no choice. As for the queen, i think he wants to see how far she will go before he shuts her down. Just a theory ;)

Rollo has shown his true colours again. There no going back this time.

Ragnar clearly loves his sons but you can see the Queen is just trying to drive them apart and also belittling their father at every oppertunity. "remember your Grandfather is the greatest warrior ever"!!! I hope she gets what she deserves sooner or later. She couldnt wait to see if he died.

The Queen is fit as **** and all he should be doing is nailing her until she can't walk. Just IMHO of course.

I would take Lagertha over her any day :D that the other thing taking the Queen over Lagerha was Ragner biggest mistake imo.

Enjoyed the first episode waiting each week is going to be a nightmare.

I wonder what rollo's thinking was behind what he did or was he forced into it. he normally loves a good fight yet sat ideally by.

just happy to have Lagertha back on my screen.

Cant wait to see where this season goes, looking forward to the epic battle scenes we know are coming from all the extra casting they have done

Well it wasn't exactly a 'good' fight, more a slaughter. He seemed conflicted but grimly determined. Since Erik came to him directly, it's unlikely he was forced into it by the Franks, more likely motivated by furthering his own aims whatever the cost.

The writers seem to want us to warm to Rollo but keep throwing the betrayal card onto the table to make it difficult.

Bjorn is clearly now the hardest man in Denmark. I think that berserker is going to get more than he bargained for :D.

The bear fight was a bit silly. At one point it looked like Bungle was attacking him.
Brilliant show though.

The bit where he was stabbing it in the neck it just sat there and let him do it with it's face in front of his, right where it could have eaten it off lol.

A bit unfortunate for them the episode is at the same time The Revenant is getting so much media too. I couldn't help compare the two scenes.

The casting of that Berserker was spot on, he looked the business.

Indeed, but it probably won't prevent him getting his arse handed to him by Bjorn The Bungle Killer :)

Bjorn really going one with nature!!! LoL

The queen living on borrowed time I think. Nice to see Athelstan.

Rollo needs to put his foot down on the French princess.
