US: Vikings - anyone else watching this ?

Well the US get Season 3 premiering on History Channel on February 19th, lets hope we don't have to wait to long before we get it but some sources are saying not until the Summer :(

Old Ragnar's off to give Paris a kicking in this series apparently :D :D

It's gonna be awesoooooome - Episode summary:

Ragnar and Lagertha's fleets depart Kattegat once more for Wessex but this time they bring settlers. King Ecbert hosts the Vikings and proposes a deal. Despite the misgivings of some of the other leaders, Ragnar leads his forces into battle once more, but this time as allies of Wessex.

I struggled for ages to get into this, tried to watch season 1 so many times! But while waiting for all the other shows I watch I decided to give it another go.. And that's another marathon polished off in just under 2 days!

Great opening, I like the way that they are ageing everyone, Old Ragnar Hairy-breeks is definitely looking a bit more haggard than he did. I am wondering when Ragnar is going to meet his legendary end

He is captured by King Ælla and thrown into his viper pit which causes Ragnars sons to raise the Great Heathen Army and lay waste to Northumbria and capture York and lay the foundations of the Danelaw

I don't think it will be this series but can't help but feel this series will set it up for a fourth if it happens.

Indeed, love the way they are progressing with the history rather than getting hung up with certain storylines and filler. Mostly looking forward to Ivar the Boneless getting older.

Grows up to be one of the most ruthless and brutal Viking leaders - next season maybe?
