I will do "things" to it at some point like remove all the old crap and random stuff I put on and also probably make some logo or something I dunno do "things" but only when I have a bit of spare time.
I quickly recapped this one when I got in tonight. Screen works but it's not good enough for resale so will get a mod.
Have a spare lipo kit laying around so might lipo mod this one as well and put it in one of my new cases.
If you look closely you can see the 3 sections of the screen (gg screen has 3 independent drivers) and the middle one is failing. Eventually it will properly give up so I don't really like letting them go like this so it's best to mod.
All I did tonight is recap all of its boards, mainboard and sound with Ceramics and just standard electros on power
Have a spare lipo kit laying around so might lipo mod this one as well and put it in one of my new cases.

I love em man! love it when I see them with all the original gear! My backlog is stacking up by the day but this time instead of switches its all game gears! currently have 5 to fix, 2 of my own including that one with the screen issues i sent images of last night and 3 for others with one more the way! It's proper weird I seem to go through phases of doing like all the same console for a month then i'll be back to all sorts for a bit, then back to just all switches and nothing else... I don't get how it comes in waves of all the same stuff

@Vince I bought a PS3 off FB Marketplace and I'm going to give it a clean up.
The controller is a bit sticky, I know you've worked on these before, can you get replacement thumbsticks for the controller? If so any place you recommend getting them from?

First CIB one recapped and somehow this guy always gets lucky.. screen is lovely for an OG.
Will polish the lense etc and clean it out but damn, for me it's 1 in 10 has a workable screen, this guy has about 80% hit rate on screens!!

Yea same but its a customers and they want it original as its clearly for resale. So its just a recap, clean up... repair a button, new lense and ship it back.
Edit: been sharing pics and dude is now like... damn I was hoping for a bad screen so you can mod at least one of them! lol
