I'm curious as to why 100 Mbps isn't enough? It's enough for the vast majority of families in this country.could do with an internet speed bump

I went for this deal, getting delivered today (or sometime in the next year as it's yodel delivering)Hi yes the deals are for new customers only. What people usually do is sign up under a partners name or friends to get the deal.
Hi they do change monthly but currently there is a good deal on the ultimate oomph which is virgins top bundle.
I believe you can take the deal and delay installation but I think that would probably be around a month and not two. I can refer you then when you speak to them you can see if it can be done if you like.
I like how all the new customers get the decent deals and long standing customers get a nothing but price hikes
If you can, are you able to say where you are getting that offer from? About to sign up for some broadband for my new place. I'm seeing £40 a month for 18 months then £56 a month after that for the M350 package on the Virgin Media site so £720 for the first 18 months. The price you're showing of £27.84 would mean a total cost over 18 months of £501.12! If I could get the M350 for that price and save £220 I could either put it towards the M500 package or a phone line.
That was on Money Saving Expert, there is a couple of comparison sites offering the same dealIf you can, are you able to say where you are getting that offer from? That said, I'm not too bothered about getting a phone line. Would be a bonus but nothing to be too concerned about. I'd receive more calls on it than I would make and most of them would probably be spam/marketing calls anyway.
(not gonna lie, this sounds like utter nonsense)The cable has an inline safety isolator. These are only provided in a fixed length. Anything else is non standard & has to be made up by a Virgin tech on-site. It is against t&c’s to make any DIY alterations as the installation has to be immune to any ingress from local Freeview TV or DAB radio transmissions as they use the same frequencies as Virgin. The cable is specifically produced for this purpose. The cost will be a standard £99 to include all the cabling/connectors & any adjustments that are required in the street cabinet to balance the levels of the longer run. If you had wanted this alteration at the actual time of the install this would have cost considerably less.
I don't have any splitters on my cable, just a single cable into an isolator. Not sure what you are asking but the cable will come in and have and end with a F-Type on it and you can screw it onto any type of Splitter with approx. 3-6bd ( think now they supply 4db).
Or even directly into rear of HUB power levels may be wrong though depending on length of cable, hence the splitter, this is what is inside those plastic boxes, just a cover.

That's what they did on me when I was looking at install dates which I thought was a bit cheeky.Hard check

You do give permission for them to do it and I don't recall the wording, I just assumed it would be a soft check but then I got a notification on my credit report so say a hard search had been added. Thanks for that. Was hoping a soft check.
Did virgin do a credit check? If so, Soft or Hard check? Soon to be making a mortgage application, I'm avoiding any hard credit checks on me.
And my plusnet deal is coming to an end in few weeks.
Would love to jump over to Virgin.
Really? PlusNet, O2, EE, Vodafone, BT, Sky and Zen are all companies I've taken contracts out with in the past 4 years or so and none of them put a hard check on my report, only soft from some of them (I took Zen out recently and nothing).Any telecoms provider will hard check you
Any telecoms provider will hard check you, a mortgage company isn’t going to take a negative view of you because you switched telecoms providers every 12-24 months, now if you have a bunch of payday loan companies and credit card/loan companies going through, that’s slightly different.
