you can't manually upgrade, its pushed from VM , so when the upgrade is available they will push it on you, no choice. In my experience R26 couldn't be much worse, R30 promises a lot of fixes so hopefully it will be a good thing when it finally comes, although most people who have tested R29 seem to have used it purely for the modem mode option, so they can go back to using their old trusty router.

Phoned up to get 50Mb yesterday (Currently on 30Mb)...I didn't mind the extra pm cost but they wanted £40 to install it.

Yeah I agreed as it rather silly to pay extra for install, it only a switch of a flick to get you from 30Meg to 50Meg as long you already had a superhub. I had free installation (quick self-install) when I went upgrade from 30 to 50 ages ago with free activation charge.

Well after 1 month on 30meg ahve gone back to 50meg. WHen I phone up the difference was £3 lol

I really want this R29 or 30 to come out soon... noticing latency increases when using virgin box + router at present. Is anyone on the NMAL exchange? If so have they heard word of an upgrade... seems like we've been left till last.

It seems like paranoia... but I was threatening legal action last year due to 3 months of unusable service, maybe they put it down the list .

Hi all, i live in SE London and have nothing but problems with Talk Talk for the past couple of months extremely slow... Can anyone advice me how you would rate the 50mg service from Vrigin since i want to swap and my contract is up next month.

Almost flawless, as far as I'm concerned. Only ever had one outage and it was fixed in 4 hours.

Having said that, you certainly don't get full fat speeds at peak times, but thats usually the case.

Your ping is a bit rubbish. I'm in west London getting 50Mb in a week, I hope my ping <10ms.

Im only on 30mb, i get 19 to ping to game servers css,tf2 etc, so probs just pingtest being odd.

This is my 100 Meg speedtest, pretty poor (almost half speed had gone since a week ago) and had three times tech guy to my property and will do nothing about it. I might change back to 50 Meg as I ain't paying 100 Meg for half speed disappear!
