There were hundreds if not thousands of orders, who has the time/ manpower to check each and every single one?

I agree OC'er are trying to do something for the gamers which is excellent although some of the old timers but less chatty like I am are currently missing out, I am sure they will sort something out for this group as well
(DOI- I have already received a card from them through the queue system so I am watching this with interest for the next generation upgrade)

They were never meant to be released in the first place, that's the primary issue, nothing to do with bots/scalpers/miners/gamers.

I think a better idea is have a Haribo stock listing which we can purchase and after buying your £800 or whatever bag, O.C.U.K.simply throws a GPU in the box with it....

That’ll fox them damn bots:D

Worldwide Haribo shortage incoming? :D

Ah ok, thanks. I'm not active on the forums at all really, despite being a 10 year old account. Fingers crossing I'm sat ready for the next public drop :)
I'm same as you. Long time OC customer who first purchased from them back in 2007 for my first PC build and used them for my last GFX card upgrade too. Just not very chatty. Also had my 3070 order cancelled last night. Will have to keep a lookout for the voucher drops on the open threads but don't even know where that's likely to appear :D

This thread keeps going around in circles!!

Seems like a pretty cool thing OCUK are trying to do but...........the moaners!!! I am surprised they haven't cancelled the whole thing! I know I would have by now.

It's like an episode of X-Factor at times!!

Is that why I did not get any with my recent purchase :o
We are doomed, doomed, I say :D :D

Back to the topic: Idea is interesting.
Also, this morning someone in one of the Discord servers posted a photo of that 10k price in memes section :D I thought it was fake, but I guess, this is this initiative in action

It's fun seeing a voucher reduce the price by over £9k!

I have to say some of the comments in here are absolutely cringe worthy and shows the entitlement from BOTH sides. I agree that the more "established" members of the forum are getting a great and worthy chance to purchase a commodity that's in short supply but the clique hounding of people stating an alternative view could potentially be why people don't get more involved. It's bordering on hostile/bullying behaviour, in my personal judgement.

Everybody is entitled to a viewpoint and not everybody will be happy with any solution that is posed but can't we all be civil to each other? I'm lucky in that I purchased a 3080 at the start so I'm only reading this as an interesting way to solve a common problem but if I'd hadn't I'd be frustrated as well to have joined in 2002 with a low post count. Some don't have the luxury of spending a lot of time on forums, reading and reply, but are still gamers in their own right.

Happy to be shot down for my viewpoint and I welcome it as it helps me grow as an individual.

less than 1000 posts in 21 years. You don’t even have to be active to get to 1000 in that time. 1 post a week would have done it.

I would agree.

Some people don't need to voice their opinion on a lot of things on a public forum. I'm only on 1600 posts after 20+ years on here as I don't feel the need to post very often. Might seem odd to you but not to a lot of other people.

Let's be honest that dedicated gamers aren't having enough time for that things : )

Agreed, with family, kids etc getting in the way 1000 posts would be probably achieved by the time I retire :D. Totally understand it's a solution to a unique problem, but doesn't detract from my abject disappointment losing it after finally getting a chance on one.

Not going to lie. Not a regular buyer from here and was only vaguely aware of these forums. if it wasn't for friends who are in the MM and more active on here I wouldn't have even known why my order was cancelled.

Will try and land one on the public forum options now I at least know this may be a thing.
