It's not all about opinions though lads. It's often more about sharing knowledge and experience and trying to contribute to helping members solve their issues.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. And probably 24-30hz max at 8k
The answer about Titan will be: We do not discuss unreleased products
Nvidia are tighter than a gnat's backside when it comes to discussing Titan's, especially if they've yet to announce anything. It may be an idea to ask NVidia about their UK plans if they do launch a Titan, I don't like seeing the retailer they use ATM to sell their 3090s getting to sell their Titans too.
I would much rather shop Titan cards with OcUK because I know where I am with that.
Aye, for sureYou would need 10ghz Pentium 6 in order to run FS2020 at 8k
Not even that.
Some games on Max settings at 2160p struggle to get 60fps with a 3090, if this was repeated at 8k it would be less than 15fps.
It seems like there're a lot of lurkers who would prefer GPUs went to bots and scalpers just because they feel they are personally missing out. What happened to being happy for someone else's lucky break?
Like they did last time probably ....and oversell in under 60 secondsWhat's the plans for the 3080ti launch? Queue system like we have now?
yep our store running low, didnt get many on delivery either
ShockIt's not true though
Yep, always 3 sides to every storyShock
I forgot about the third sideYep, always 3 sides to every story
It does but there are two sides to every story and I doubt it'll be publicly disclosed.
Good call.I agree with this fully (indeed I posted the same thing many pages back). If loyal, PAYING customers were given a chance to buy a card as well, that would be tremendous. However, given that OCUK are putting in a genuine effort to help people, I don't think they should receive flak just because the method isn't absolutely perfect, especially when they've shown willingness to improve it and make cards more widely available. Overclockers are not participating in any more general card launches for the foreseeable future as it created too many issues with overselling and huge waiting lists. What's the plans for the 3080ti launch? Queue system like we have now?
But it'll just end up with same result, moaning and whinging.Indeed. However it kind of sucks if someone has bought a lot of product through OCUK and hasn't posted much in the forum to get access to the codes. Both of these contribute to sales for them in different ways. If they could do a code for the guys that have bought a lot of product through the shop (as it will all be tied to an account) that would be cool.
What happened last night is beyond me but Scott has explained, I had a rough day yesterday due to food poisoning night before so I’d passed out in afternoon and once I woke up I went back to work and noticed lots of my hidden stock had all been sold. Scott explained their has been a website error/bug and BOTs opened it up, see Scott’s full explanation but hence the reason.
Now back to the website and general sales of graphics cards.
To give you guys some idea how things will work going forward....
- Will we still sell graphics cards online with the webshop? YES! (2060’s & 1050ti available now)
- Will we do MM only deals on cards listed at £10,000 to drop MM price to just above MRSP? YES!
- Will we still do NVIDIA 3000 and AMD 6000 drops on website with no forum heads up? YES!
I am trying to cover all bases to give everyone a fair chance of buying a card.
The problem is too many people are now using BOTs to try and win a graphics cards, most the people using BOTs are scalpers, some miners and of course maybe some genuine customers but the problem is so many people are now doing this has created this insane demand issue the world is seeing which has forced resellers to withheld their stock or over sell whilst they look for solutions to the problem.
OcUK is probably one of the most proactive companies in the world in trying to investigate new ways of selling cards and more importantly getting said cards into the hands of loyal customers and genuine customers.
I can only apologise to anyone who may have placed a genuine order last night during the bug/blip which has now been cancelled.
Our next deal will be a more public forum one and will be on Monday all being well and then we hope to do further deals later in the week which will either be public forum or back to MM depending on the outcome of the public deal.

H
Too much admin work.
They could do codes based on number of orders too, value, who's being ordering the longest, etc.
It's just far easier to use a system that's already in place the members market.
Trying to make it more complicated doesn't help them when they are already doing so much manual intervention and work.
But I understand people will always be salty.
