Some people don't need to voice their opinion on a lot of things on a public forum. I'm only on 1600 posts after 20+ years on here as I don't feel the need to post very often. Might seem odd to you but not to a lot of other people.

Forums are also about helping people, not always about voicing opinions.

And people who only lurk contribute absolutely nothing to any forum. Without posters, a forum will die.

Indeed. However it kind of sucks if someone has bought a lot of product through OCUK and hasn't posted much in the forum to get access to the codes. Both of these contribute to sales for them in different ways. If they could do a code for the guys that have bought a lot of product through the shop (as it will all be tied to an account) that would be cool.

Also a lot of posters who help people on these forums with regards to system specs and such no doubt help drive sales for Overclockers.

Very easy to clock up 1000 posts quite quickly.

Maintain a popular benching thread or two or something similar.

Here is one I did earlier.

The point is you have to spend a little time contributing something to the forums but it is easy enough if you spend the time.

I won't be taking advantage of the MM voucher scheme but I do think it is a great idea.

Nice idea, goes some way to restore Overclockers rep. Maybe the rules might get relaxed on post count after a while, no way am I getting to a 1,000. Been a member for 5 years though :D

Unless they're for whatever titan turns up next :D

It will be interesting to see how NVidia sell the next Titan card.

I think soon after the 3080 Ti hits the shelves it will be EOL for the 3090 and a possible arrival for the Titan which will net NVidia even more money.

In your learned opinion, do you think the Titan could be a genuine 8K gamer, or still not quite there yet?

If they do another Titan card I'm sure that it'll be direct sales and system integration only like the last few generations. However, ever generation I get the feeling that Nvidia regret releasing a Titan because the majority of them end up in the hands on corporate customer who they'd prefer to buy the £5k quadro version instead.

I agree with this fully (indeed I posted the same thing many pages back). If loyal, PAYING customers were given a chance to buy a card as well, that would be tremendous. However, given that OCUK are putting in a genuine effort to help people, I don't think they should receive flak just because the method isn't absolutely perfect, especially when they've shown willingness to improve it and make cards more widely available. It seems like there're a lot of lurkers who would prefer GPUs went to bots and scalpers just because they feel they are personally missing out. What happened to being happy for someone else's lucky break?

In my not very learned opinion the next Titan won't even get close even in SLI.

The other day I put my money where my mouth was and ordered a new OLED Sony TV which will only support 4k. I could have gone for something like a Samsung 8k TV but I did not see the point as there is no programming and if I used it with a GPU (if that were possible) the amount of settings I would have to turn down would make it pointless.

It may be an idea to ask NVidia about their UK plans if they do launch a Titan, I don't like seeing the retailer they use ATM to sell their 3090s getting to sell their Titans too.

I would much rather shop Titan cards with OcUK because I know where I am with that.:)

And probably 24-30hz max at 8k

The answer about Titan will be: We do not discuss unreleased products ;)
