Looks like your spec is VR capable :D

I even tried it for a bit! Wont lie felt sick as a dog after about 20 mins, I felt all disorientated so had to put it down but it was late and I was tired so i'm going to try again a little later today. I did have a look at a few different things and watching movies on a massive screen in VR could be fun so will give that a try.

I did the oculus intro with the little robot dude etc and that was pretty damn cool tbh. Plays super smooth and I didn't see any issues with tracking etc so yea so far im impressed with what im seeing, it's just my body isn't impressed.

Some titles are very vomit inducing, what was you trying that made you feel sick, it can take a while to get your VR legs :D

Some dodgey demo on the oculus store. Had zombie in the name but was shockingly poor. I'll have to post it on here bit it was one to avoid for sure.

The little robot intro though was pretty awesome and I didnt feel sick at all during that.

This is important. If you start to feel sick, stop immediately. Don't try to push through. You will build up your VR legs much quicker that way. If you try to push through it just makes you feel more nauseous and, what's worse, is that the next time you put on the headset you will get VR sick quicker.

Second thing, is check the advisory rating on the store before downloading a game or app. It tells you how comfortable a game is to play.

Right I'm downloading a few games, I have bought Onward and also Elven Assasin to have a little play with. I spent some time getting steam vr set up and also messing around in the little robot dudes room again just to see how I feel, about 40 mins of messing about jumping around like an idiot and I started feeling a little odd not sick just a bit disorientated, so have put it down until I have some proper games to play.

I guess it's not just me that gets this given some of the replies in here but in general how long a session can you really do in a vr game?

Depends on the individual.

This ^ and the game.

If you have a fixed frame of reference, like Elite Dangerous, Project Cars (the window frames) and Star Trek Bridge Crew (fixed seated position) it is a more realistic experience and your brain knows how to deal with it, for me and most others the issue is with motion, something like an FPS without teleport, Dead Halls for example, you stand-up and stand still in reality but in the game you move forward and it just knocks all your senses out, you get motion sickness like being drunk or poisoned.

It's weird i'm fine with generally everything, roller coasters, fast cars, boats, doesn't matter. I have a pretty solid stomach. Hopefully it's just getting used to it.
Exactly this, when I started using VR stuff like Aircar, DCS World and other would make me feel nauseous very easily, these days it's very unusual to feel it at all and I can quite happily spend several hours playing things that would have made me feel sick within minutes if not seconds when I started,

Definitely start with games that get you use to being in VR and are mild on the senses.

Moss is great, the visuals are stunning and the sense of scale is amazing, for a simple experience try something like Dark Net, a nice little puzzle game.

Obviously Beat Saber which is also pretty easy for VR first timers, very addictive when you add in some extra tracks and affects :D

Right this is good to know, @SupraWez is spot on its the standing still while moving in some of the demos that's doing me in. My brain is clearly not advanced enough to know what is going on :D

Done, that one is downloading as well. Moss, Onwards and Elven Assasin then are the games to get me going.
