Im not quite sure that a 120hz monitor would fix the problem.. cant the human eye only see around 60fps and anymore isn't noticeable.. I'd be happy to try it but I dont need a new monitor just yet
Rainagul.. lemme try and explain, in an FPS when you aim/turn around and then stop aiming/turning that there is almost a fraction where it feels like its still moving, I guess catching up to where you are. Where as with vsync off.. when you stop, it stops that instant with no delay.
Mouse smoothing is almost 10x as bad as vsync for me, almost feels like when you run along some ice in a game and you stop pressing forward but you continue to move. Obviously thats an over exaggeration as you probably dont go that far but it just doesn't feel as responsive. As a result.. mouse smoothing always has to be off or I go into an ALL CAPS RAGE.
I think its a responsiveness issue that I've noticed.. and I've noticed it on any PC I've played on that it has to be set to off.
"can't the human eye only see around 60fps"
That's just a myth.
I know exactly what you mean about the responsiveness, you should give triple buffering a go to see if it makes any difference.
