Wait or get pico ?.

I think if anything is to be picked at, it is the battery life of the Quest Pro HMD...
2hrs is maxed.
USB 5V 1A (5W) using PCVR, makes hardly any difference in battery lasting any longer.
I also have a cable that connects to a wall socket and PC, but that is also limited to 5V 2A (10W) this also doesn't improve the battery life much...

Running Air link, and plugged into the wall, the HMD doesn't drain.

Shouldnt the typec usb 3.0 be enough to charge it using PC while running?.

2 hours seems about normal for a standalone?

Surely you can add a powerbank to it somewhere? There's some that hang around your neck I believe. Easy enough to double if not more that battery life without being stuck to the wall/pc.

I wouldn't expect 5W to make much difference.

2 hours is the norm at the moment for standalone
my pico 4 does about this too

but with the pico, being so well balanced, and light; adding a power bank to the back makes it too heavy (and off balance)
but you can get one that goes around your neck, or you can get a 5000 mAh one that is small and plugs directly into the usb-c port on the side which are lighter

No, just like with the Quest 2, the battery will last longer tethered to a PC but you will only get 5V 1A (5W) charge.

The Quest Pro may give you an extra 30mins at the most with the brightness turned down.

Set the brightness at max and you are draining the battery at almost 1% per min.

Seems that way.
Yeah, I'm sure you could add a power bank to it, but it would need to be able to do 15V 3A (45W) to keep the battery topped up.

That's not right at all, you should be able to get a lot longer than 30 minutes extra play time with the cable plugged in. Or am I misunderstanding your post?

Why would it need to be 45w to keep it charged? Does it take 2 hours to charge at 45w? Thought it was quick charging at that rate.

Seems I'm not the only one seeing the same issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/QuestPro/comments/yy8er0/pcvr_battery_drains_fast_while_using_official/

That's how long it takes to fully charge, 2hrs at 45W.

Been trying since 7PM to pair quest 2 with app on iphone but still stuck at where you put the number in as it will not pair. It connects to the app but then disconnects. Never had this problem with the older quest 2 i had. Now its 1040pm lol. Will wait until tomorrow now.

Aren't they supposed to work better with an android app?

I was up till 12AM last night and tried a couple of hours this morning and still not got past paring as it wont stay connected. Meta practically blaming your wifi connection.

I have even reset the hub, Turned it on and of etc but still no luck. All i need to do is get past the paring screen as i be playing Steam games mainly.

Very strange. I used a ratty old lenovo tablet, intalled the oculus app, bluetooth on with the headset running and the app picked it up in seconds.
