**WANT 8GB 2400MHz FOR AS LITTLE AS £59.99 Inc. VAT? - THEN CHECK THIS THREAD OUT!!** (MV-3V4G3D/US)

Whats the post code on the LED mate??? When your using 2333mhz your on the 1.25 strap I take it you have reduced the multiplier accordingly to ensure same CPU mhz?? VCC 1.25 and VCCSA 1.25 and work down from that at 10-12-12-31 1T. 1.65v Initially. Set rampage tweak to mode 1 and clock gen filter to 20uf.

Error code 64 with the settings above. Cpu is only at 4.25ghz (asus level up 1.3vcore), bios is the latest version 1305. I'll try it at 2t later today. I can live with 2ghz cas9. But was hoping for more!

64 is memory training code mate. Often this means the IMC cant make the frequency your trying but I doubt that at 2333mhz. All my CPU can make that easy.

Try resetting bios, everything on auto. Set 1.25 strap, DRAM 1.65, and speed to 2333mhz save and try post. leave everything else on auto. What code is thrown up if it does not post?? I am trying to see if your CPU is capable of 2333mhz and its just a tuning issue.

Ah right I see now. It very well could be my cpu. I'll try it on auto later, i'm happy enough with 2000mhz cas 9 -9 -9 -22 -1t @ 1.4v

Sadly, it seems to be the cpu. I can't get over 2133mhz stable. Memtweak score of 43700 at 2ghz cas9 will have to do.

Thanks for the help

are the "tight Samsung" profile settings on the Gene any good to use ?

just tried them at 2000, 9-12-12-12 - but tight subtimings, wa sok down to 1.41V

or am I better of with stock 2200 11-11-11-12 ?

Samsung Tight is 2400mhz for me mate 1.6v

Test your results with AIDA, Max Mem and Super Pi with same CPU speed and see what you get.

Cas 9 will be faster I am almost certain. That profile has tuned LB also from what can remember.

Did you try all on auto at 2333mhz?? did it boot?? if it did its timings not CPU. I just cant see it being CPU at this all mine do at least 2500mhz. One C2 Shammy sent me does over 2600mhz.

If it does boot post up a memtweak it shot of 2333mhz and I will suggest some stability settings. You can also tune your 2000mhz settings if you wish to gain more speed and bandwidth.

thanks - perhaps will try 2133

I did try the suggestion of bumping VCCIO to get 2200 CAS10 stable - and it definately helped but was still unstable in windows (Memtest86+ fine) so gave up with that as the tighter timings made not much difference

how much should I strive for 1T - still running 2T as can hardly get a boot at 1T ?

thanks

If your struggling to get it stable stay at 2T. Did 2333mhz boot???

only briefly tried over 2200, I tried 2400 CAS11/12 with little success but was keeping under 1.51V

2200 CAS 11 is rock steady, stock cpu IMC settings - memtest and windows

2200 CAS10 is rock steady in memtest but completely unstable in windows - increasing VCCIO up one notch helped a lot - but didn't want to push VCCIO too much

prob just found the limit of my IMC

will try 2133 1T and go from there :)

dont be scared to use more dram voltage,1.55v for 8gb 2133mhz is the norm imo,16gb might need more,i needed 1.6250v

vccio or qpi/vtt can be anything from stock 1.05v to 1.2v

wow this stuff really is tiny isn't it. Compared to my old xms2 it's only about 1/3rd the size.

Will have a go overclocknig tommorow most likely once I've got the CPU/GPU OC'd nicely.

Nice tuning there!!! work on TRAS 21 and 1T now and your done!!!!!

THX m8 ... i took some things from your postings - as usual very helpful.

I am going to try lower tras and t1 though it got no major impact on the efficiency score in memtweakit - it just looks better. :D

Try Maxxmem for your Bandwidth and latencys mate. Thats the bench of choice for memory perf.

Tras 21 and 1T will improve your scores quite abit.

Yeah it set tras to 21 and CR1 ... and it works with SuperPi ... but it is not LinX stable ... so i set TRAS 26.

Not sure about Maxxmem though ... i am getting different results each time i run it and the developers site is down.

(not moving mouse or touch something when the benchmark is running)
