**WANT 8GB 2400MHz FOR AS LITTLE AS £59.99 Inc. VAT? - THEN CHECK THIS THREAD OUT!!** (MV-3V4G3D/US)

had 8gb of this stuff sitting on my shelf for past 2 weeks, only just fitted it in today got to 2133mhz 10-10-10-28-1 @ 1.50v no problem on my settup, sits under my silver arrow no problem at all very tiny ram only just taller then the ram holding clips :D

out with the corsair Vengeance and in with this stuff

Awwww, it's so cute :D

Absolutely tiny stuff. Can barely see it when installed on black mobo :D

Not had chance to play with any OC, and not sure will have time today, but at stock, seems AOK.

Out of interest does this stuff actually offer any real world improvements on the Sandybridge platform? Thought I read ages back that above 1600MHz there wasn't much to be gained?

There are some small gains from using faster RAM with an overclocked processor:

As the Samsung RAM isn't too much more expensive at the moment than "ordinary" 1600MHz RAM it might be worth a punt if you're after that last bit of performance.

If you already have 1600MHz RAM though it's not really worth swapping.

Well I was about to buy either Patriot Viper Extreme 8gb 1866Mhz or Crucial Ballistix Elite 8GB 1600Mhz ... for my new build i5 2500k. beejjacobs sent me a link to here and has changed my mind - the samsung ram will blend into an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 and the electric meter will spin just a bit slower :)

Just bought 16Gb... at these prices :p why not! Now all I need is my first intel cpu since I switched to AMD and bought an AXIA  Time for the sandybridge 2500k to drop a few quid... or to make way for its Ivy Bridge replacement!

Wonder why the stock timings are so slack, you'd have thought with monster RAM like this they'd be pitching it at CAS9 tops not CAS11. (Bearing in mind I've got a CAS7 PC12800 kit that won't go anywhere near 2400mhz).
