Want a new hobby!

Robotics - a great mixture of programming, mechanics, and electronics/components. Lego Mindstorms kit or an Arduino robot are good starting points from what I've heard. Would love to get a Mindstorm but they're like £300 - but there is a pretty big community surrounding them with a bunch o' custom made projects guides, etc. to help you along the way.

Shooting- Clays, Quarry or Target

Reasonably priced hobby, teaches discipline, focus and a lot of fun imo. Shooting clays can be fun and challenging, if shooting quarry it brings its own challenge and gets you in the great outdoors plus depending what you shoot it can alao bring food to the table (wood pigeon/ rabbit),, also a reasonable amount of shooters also dabble in outdoor photography. Target shooting brings discipline and depending on the ranges facilities and what your police force will grant you, you can shoot anything upto .50cal.

Sidenote.. you can clearly see what my interests are, also the requirements to get a Shotgun cert are faitly low/easy, a firearms cert is a bit more difficult but not a great deal.

I wish I had your problem, I already don't really have the time for cycling and gym as much as I would like, as well as photography and playing around with raspberry pi/arduino/programming etc. Want to build a quadcopter at some point and would love to get a motorbike. That's just the realistic things, would also like to get my PPL but that's not likely to happen.

I need to win the lottery so I can afford all of this and then stop working so I've got the time too.

I hope to be in this position soon once i start something up :)

Instrument of some kind. Guitar is always popular but there are loads to choose from.

Once you've done that, recording and producing is good fun, although can get very expensive.
