Yep. It needs to be a 18 due to the grim darkness, the violence and some of the horrors. That could be stuff in the warp or with some xeros or even the dark elf’s or what ever they are called now. If they make it a 12 I don’t think I will even bother.

Personally I'd like them to adapt Cadia Stands, We get Imperial Guard, Space Wolves, Chaos Marines, Cultists, A Black Crusade, The Eye of Terror, A panicked transistion through the Warp. So much could be introduced to be people light on the lore. I fully know it won't happen though.

I really think they should start small, a lower budget intro series based on a hive world, a warhammer crime series, following arbites leading investigations in x and y, and from there expand the world, introduce the inquisition, and so on and so forth. They just need a damn good story, that happens to be set on a hive world, rather than a 40k universe that the writer know **** all about writing. This has been the main issue with the LOTR prequel series, it just wasn't very well written, same with a great many other series which have failed recently.
Andor worked as it could have been in any universe, anywhere, the expanse was the same, they worked due to good story.
Use that set it in the universe, pull people in, then start multiple projects and offshoots exploring different parts of the universe.

Pretty sure they were working on it separately but Eisenhorn would be a perfect intro imo, if you took each book as a season, you don't get the "oh ****" moment of a Chaos Space Marine until midseason, and you don't see a loyalist one until right near the end and even then the focus stays on the inquisition characters. You get your posterboys (because lets be honest Space Marines are going to have to be there) but they don't overrun the story.

They can do any film they want. That's the beauty.

But they need a strong start so where on earth do you start.

Problem is if they make it an 18+ then they are excluding a large part of the audience. I doubt many kids were GoT fans but kids play Warhammer (not exclusively kids of course but kids still play) I think the likeliness is they will remove some of the extreme stuff and aim for a lower rating.
