Same, hadn't played much for months but jumped back in a week or so back after seeing some patch notes that looked appealing. Raw gameplay is as fun as ever, the new Maelstrom missions are fun with all the extra specials, crafting whilst not perfect is a big step forward.
The proposed skill revamp looks good, hopefully it can add more flexibility to all the classes, whilst not taking away what works currently - I really like my Psyker as he is :D

Not touched darktide in some time myself, I look forward to this update.
Hopefully will make the Psyker fun to play as personally I found them useless and dull.

Very tempted to finally pick this up. How’s it looking right now?
The combat and music was always great. The problems were lack of content and features. There wasn't a ton of missions to do or things to grind for. How weapon levels worked was very iffy for being rewarded with cool things. Some systems were also missing or partially implemented etc. Such as Cross play between Steam and GamePass... (fs that was a disaster for getting friends playing). That's all been resolved now I believe and hopefully with the class overhaul builds and gear won't be so cookie cutter.

It's fun game.

Spent a bit of time this evening reviewing the new skill trees and trying out different build options with some of the rebalancing that has been done. So many exciting options to play about with now!
Rebuilt my old Psyker in the new tree, Brain Burst is way stronger, combined with the buffed lightning staff it's amazing. Flame staff also seems way stronger and the lightning and psionic throwing knife abilities are really strong too.
Looked at Ogryn, some nice options to build a proper tank now - taunt abilities and loads of damage/damage reduction options, alongside a bunch of new offensive choices.
Onto the Zealot, some nice specialisation options around back stabs, plus the throwing knives seem great - particularly as I never found much use for the old grenades.
Had a quick look at the Sharpshooter, some new grenades and stuff, but never really got into this class so didn't give it much of a look for now.

On the whole, pretty hyped. Definitely going to be playing a fair chunk more Darktide.

Had a quick dabble last night with the new skill tree and built my Zealot into a full support now and it feels like it being able to stun all the mobs when required. Once I've got Starfield finished will give this another proper go.

Had a few games of this with my max Psyker, general thoughts:
- Game feels much more polished and enjoyable now.
- Psyker feels like a viable choice now. Being able to stack up to 5 head pops for free makes me feel like a psychic weapon now, rather than the old one trick pony.
- there’s a bigger focus on unit coherence now - you get team buffs by staying close together.
- big groups of ranged mobs no longer ruin your run

All in, it feels like this is the game it should have been. Is it late? Undoubtedly. Am I happy it’s now in this state? Absolutely.

Will I be playing it more often now? Definitely.

Played a handful of games and the new builds are good and a lot of quality of life stuff has been fixed since last I played. Did have issues trying to do some T4s though with the quality of randoms :D Ran into a lot of low level players who were, not great.

Had some good fun with the mob density and swarms. Being attacked by mass specials, 20 dogs etc. was great fun.

I was up until 3 playing this yesterday, really enjoying! Only used my Ogryn so far but being able to turn him into a melee wrecking ball is great. Still need to workout the best build but the game is fantastic. It could do with a few more maps but overall I'm happy I've revisited.

Generally played with competent randoms which helps loads, even at 4th tier, although a few rounds were comical and the team was wiped so quickly. My mates have jumped back in however so I foresee many more hours krumping in the name of the emperor!

The psykers are fantastic to play with, the crowd paralysing skills are incredibly effective, so much easier to cope with the plague hound packs.

One thing I note is how demanding the game is, have mostly medium/some high settings at 1440p and while it's generally achieving 90-120 FPS at times it drops down to the 70s. I'm not sure why but the game just doesn't feel as smooth as it should, could be a result of recently having only played on my OLED or at higher FPS on the monitor.
