WARNING! Razer Pricing is Going up!

Had my deathadder for just under 2 years (got it christmas 09 for £35 iirc) and had so many troubles with double clicking issues that were software related, needed multiple flashes or reinstalls to fix, but now it appears to be hardware related, constant double clicking or not staying held down. Can't return it as i have no proof of purchase. Will definitely not be buying razer again especially at the higher prices even though i love the mouse to bits for it's comfort. Hell my £4 labtec laser mouse has been going strong for 5+ years and i still keep it on my desk as a backup.

Odd I had a US lycosa with an inherent fault Serial number MT07 (sticky keys and lighting turning itself on and off) and I got rudely awoken by the postman at 6 am with a replacement from New York. So I have a lycosa and a spare set of keys from my broken lycosa that I never had to send.

was a bargain from (a competitor) it was £21 (obviously because it was faulty and there returns policy is horrendous). but bargain in the end.

My Razer Piranha mic stopped working after 18 months, in less than a week I had a pair or Carcharias sent from the Netherlands, I had to cut the cable so I didn't have to send them back but that's pretty standard.

My Microsoft Habu mouse had the same double-clicking problem, and if I'm not mistaken, that mouse is the of the predecessor of the Deathadder. So I'm guessing it's a design/manufacture flaw that got passed along...

Logitech products are better build quality and now better priced. How they think they could still sell at the same rate with such a price increase is beyond me.

all you pro razer peeps are you willing to pay another 30%?

Of course they will, and if people keep on paying extra than companies think its okay to keep on putting prices up,If people were not to buy from them they would soon reduce their prices.

Not sure on Razer products though,They dont seem all that good quality to be honest, along with a lot of reviews saying the buttons stop working properly, pads wear too quickly etc.

Id rather buy a logitech anyday,Their 20% trade in programme is good.

This kind of thread is the reason I have stuck with OcUK for all my kit in recent years. It's so nice to see members of staff as human beings who appreciate their customers and genuinely seem to try to do their best for them rather than see them simply as mobile purses.

Thanks guys. :)

No problem, just glad you are pleased with what I had posted.

After my second Razer product defected in less than a year, I will never buy Razer ever again, so long Razer, look good but lack quality.

i've got 2 razor mice, they may be nice but they were already expensive a year ago.

With Corsair doing there own Keyboards etc these days not a great idea to hike prices up.

Logitech are the only choice when its keyboard and mouse time. Logitech should hopefully get a nice boost in sales soon.

Razer are just plain stupid to increase prices that much when everyones cutting back.

Pretty weird decision, with people like Logitech and Roccat starting to get reviews in magazines, I can't see why I would want to spend 30% more - especially when something cheaper than Razer at the minute, has been reviewed as being a lot better...

I don't really have any quarrels with Razer, I won a ticket to the Tech Show last year with them in fact!

Very odd that there is no mention anywhere else on the net about these price increases

Maybe because only retailers (such as OcUK) have been told of the price hike, and no other retailers have bothered to inform their customers.

Thanks for the heads up anyways. I was planning on getting a Naga soon but it looks like I may get a mouse from someone else *turns eyes in Logitech's direction*

Would this also apply to the Switchblade? A 30% price increase on that would push the price up to £2340 from £1800. Mind you, it will cost more as we (UK residents) are always ****** over when it comes to exchanging currencies ($1=£1 on Steam for an example).

Seems the I.T. industry has decided it wants more money for no reason........HD's and now this...... its almost like there is a 'made up' recession on and everyone is being a greedy **** , oh yeah thats right society chose to use money printed by private companies that the government buys off......FAIL

Well the HD's prices are caused by a natural disaster and supply and demand, on the other hand this Razer price hike is pure greed.

For example the DeathAdder Respawn is going to be going from £44.99 inc VAT to £54.99 inc VAT once my current stock has run dry!

We have 60 units left and then the price will be going up. I'm trying to combat this but Razer believe that their products are worthy of such a price increase.

Or £41.99 and get a FREE Boogie Bug AimB.Pad XL Gaming Mouse Surface which was yesterdays festive deal worth £10
