Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

I think most servers are running the broken 2.6 version so people think that it is better than 2.4 and join them instead.
 
Hey admins, on other servers (takistan life and others) there's usually a safe zone set up around spawn area where people can shoot but can't kill. Cant the same be done at gun stores? I'm just wondering because if it's a simple script then surely it would save you a lot of future trouble?
 
It's easy to implement. We had it running but it doesn't work in practice. If you are getting shot at from outside the gunstore then there is no way for you to shoot back and protect yourself if I put the script back in.

Watching the 2 servers through DaRT. The amount of nuggets coming from DayZ who think they have some sort of power over server admins is laughable.

Probably right about the Heli wrecks, there were a bunch on the server.

Great server guys, have had a load of fun over the past few days :)

I've also had the above issue, if anyone on OpFor remembers the game the other night with the huge base in Vybor. I spawned into the game with 2 small icons in the bottom corner (being an Arma newb, I thought it was just part of the mod) and some player called Vasil Ivanov following me around. It wasn't until some time that I realised it was an NPC following me everywhere and getting in peoples way i.e. standing in the base entrance at Vybor stopping people drive in and getting shouted at ;)

It also meant you could TK the guy for easy access to an AKS & ammo :(
 
Jump is not possible but step over things is, default 'V' I think and to climb up ladders you need to use the scroll wheel to bring up the menu to climb the ladder
 
yeah, i knew about ladders but thanks for the step over, I thought there was something like it when I played dayz but couldnt remember how :P

edit: another question, how do you see where you are on the map? couldnt find where I was so couldn't figure where I wanted to go :[

New 2.6 is out. Now working on our changes.
