Anyway to limit the carry slots for Engineer class? It's a wee bit unfair imo.

Medic and Engineer should have the same slot restrictions so that having the ability to heal or repair comes at a price.

Any chance of suggesting a money drop mission to the 404 guys?

Also, is it possible to stagger the BEC messages? It's quite a wall of text at the moment to have spammed all in one go.
 
I had it staggered mate, think Melbo might have changed it a while back...

The only one that is not included within the main wall of messages, is the gun store message...

You cannot change the slot count on a type of player without changing the config, if you do that, then it becomes a mod, and it is a lot harder to get people to download mods...

I had time last night, and started writing a UN supply drop mission...
 
Sounds good, need to think of unique interesting missions that move away from simple weapon caches.

At the moment we have:

Outpost: BAF Weapon cache, Fuel drums, 2x.50 cal mounted guns
Supply drop: Special weapons + launchers?
Air crash: Special weapons US/RU + Launchers US/RU. Both exactly the same load out. Russian needs to be different from the US.

Suggestion:

UN Supplies - The UN have air dropped supplies which consist of 2x Repair kits 2x Med Kits and $1000 in cash. This drop is protected by UN Soldiers.

or

The UN Convoy is heading to Kamenka from Berezino, a ural holding the above is being protected by 2x Armored Humvees.
 
Would you guys prefer to keep the castle wall style gunstore or something more like this?


Edit - I've edited the fog as well. Currently it will never go higher that 0.8 (1 is peasoup). I've changed that max it can go to 0.4. Thoughts? Want it gone completely? This is on server 02 by the way.

Castle walls with the remove weapon on firing script +50/100m radius around gun store so players have a chance to leave with their weapons.

Castle walls give nice clear indication as what is the gun store.

Marker, had a clan on asking if they were to donate could they have some reserve spots, is there an E-Mail address to point them towards?

True, I think we should keep it like this actually. The castle walls defo make it easier to see where you shouldn't be shooting.

The no firing script is back in for next upload. Currently set at 50m.

The reserved slots aren't 100% perfect just now, so would rather not just now..

Plus, this month if anyone wants to donate I will speak to you on ts3.

I'm sure I can come up with some ideas for alternative missions; however I'd leave the scripting side of it to someone else ;)

Personally I like the drastic change in weather conditions, so having it really foggy makes for a nice change and can completely change the way the game is played - I say keep it, and preferably quite high!

That gunstore alternative looks quite awesome, however you wouldn't know that is what it is unless you're used to it - perhaps the castle walls are better for this purpose!
 
Guys, you know how good a job I think you've done but this reserve slot thing is bloody annoying!

81/81 wait 20 minutes to get in and then straight away get kicked because it's a reserved slot.

How many players have to leave before I can join? Surely it would be better to have a system where if you donate (I imagine they're the people the slots are for) an admin will make room for you to join by kicking the last player that joined.
 
It's not working properly at the moment mate, the author has updated it. I'm just waiting to get on my pc so can can update the server side..

Then it should lock at 75 players...

Ok

Removed the reserved slots BEC thing for the moment as it isn't working properly!

Plus I think we should have it on the server name to appease anyone who would see 6 slots empty, try to join and then get kicked like Bananaaa above!

Will see how it goes..

Also..

I think we should up the slots on the second server to 75. Dedicated will cope with it no problem at all!
