Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Even if I could play it now, I wouldn't. I'd wait until tomorrow for the AMD 14.6 drivers, if they can deliver on that promise of 25% extra performance, then that's huge and worth waiting for.

My serial was against my account with cdkeys. I didn't receive an email, so, downloaded and it's automatically set everything to ultra. Got the new Nvidia drivers, lets see how it plays.

I hope crossfire scaling has been sorted. That should give way more than 25% increase

It's said 25-28% I think for single card, and xfire scaling up to 99% on top of that. So compared to my current xfire setup tomorrow I should be getting near enough 250% of the performance, which is certainly a decent improvement :p

Frame rate on really any settings(haven't actually dropped it stupidly low yet) while driving is embarrassing, 250% higher than would be fantastic. Depends where the performance is, 25% across the board or, just average, and in car frame rate is still balls. I would say if, unlike me, you had other things to do for the next day then wait for the new drivers for certain.

Running fine for me and is good fun :D

The online invading/getting invaded is fun but can be very tricky. The actual competitive online game mode seems so-so. The story so far has been reasonable with some interesting missions and the side missions have felt very organic so far but I'm sure they will start to become repetitive soon but with each group tied to a perk unlock or a weapon them seem like they are worth doing!

I'm glad the AMD drivers are due tomorrow as my new monitor is too :D Time to jump on the 21:9 train!

Hmm.. Interesting.

What is you PC spec DM? What resolution is your monitor? I was on 2560x1600 until recently it broke and now I am back to 1080p again until I get me a nice 4k panel later this year :)

1080p, I'm randomly still waiting for the right 4k screen to come along, and by right I mean... 120hz.

2x290's with a 2500k heavily overclocked. I got the 290's for mining and they paid themselves off but because of uni work and other things, I've only actually used them in xfire mode for games in the past week so my recent(past 3 years or so) experience of xfire is iffy.

Not sure if a better cpu would be helping out, I've not clocked the cpu usage.

It can easily dip below 30fps while driving at max settings, I've turned a few things down so it sits mostly at 60fps or so out of the car but still generally hovers just above 30fps in the car. It got better when I turned xfire off like others have found, with xfire enabled frame rate was awful.

Banking on the drivers tomorrow making a huge difference. Didn't know about the new drivers till a while ago though, maybe would have waited but waking up with a migraine + pain pills meant I needed a distraction from stressing about not revising.

this is why i wait 3-6months after release to buy most games. longer the better really.

pay less for a more optimized, polished game :)

Performance is terrible with crossfire 290's with current drivers.

Had to turn down a few settings, use a less intensive AA and hits 60fps while indoors. Once out door all hell breaks loose and dipping to 30s. Get in a car and hitting single digit FPS.

Think ill leave game for a week or so till we get some patches + driver update 14.6 is out tomorrow too. Graphics are superb mind you.

Just started Dark Souls 2 so not too bothered.

Got my UPlay version downloaded...installed and played the very first act/intro...quite liking it so far. Pretty nice graphics all maxed out and performance is fantastic on my R9 290 w/14.4 drivers.

Can't complain...definitely sucks if you have problems though, luckily for me I don't :p

you act like the code will be different.

Who me? I haven't even bought it yet, im waiting for some good reviews, I just don't understand people saying theyre having problems before a game unlocks.

Surely just wait 3 hours or whatever till 'official' release and see if it keeps doing it?

no sign of my key from CJS yet, will check in the mornin before work so i can dl it while im out :)

EDIT/ .. update from their facebook page explains

We have uploaded the last of today's keys for Watch Dogs. Unfortunately the Weekend (and lack of mail service on weekends) means our shipment only arrived this morning, rather than the usual 48 hours before release. We tried to scan as many keys as possible today and have fulfilled a great portion of our pre-order customers. Unfortunately due to the weekend, it means that shipments only arrived this morning. This means the task of scanning such an incredible amount of games had to be completed in just 12 hours rather than the 48 hours that we usually have. Despite a large team of people completing the scanning, this was a mammoth task and we simply ran out of time for today.

Customers who didn't receive a key just yet, Please accept our sincere and deepest apologies. Your patience and understanding is appreciated while we work hard to scan the keys as fast as possible.

The price we offered to our early pre-order customers was far lower than the market price offered by our competitors today and by waiting an extra few hours you will be gaining a significant advantage in price. We really are grateful of your patience.

We're aiming to get every key scanned and all orders fulfilled by tomorrow afternoon. That means you will get your key at some time on May 27th (we'll be scanning throughout the morning, afternoon and evening).

How much more official can it get downloading from Ubisofts official uPlay store?

Turn crossfire off till tomorrow as at the moment it gives negative scaling.

Im getting 25fps at the moment with it maxed out and supersampling on...expecting 50-60fps tomorrow with the new drivers hopefully.
