Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Got my nvidia code through and downloading now. Should be finished in about 20 mins, then I'll start my stream up. Got quite a good pc (4770k, 2x 780ti superclocks, 16gb 2400 ram etc) so it'll be interesting to see how well it runs.

It's gonna run rubbish! jk!!! :p

I hope you've got a resolution worthy of such a beast?

And here we go the rushers who blitz the game in one sitting are out, pointless gamers.

I don't know, I remember playing metal gear solid for the first time and I didn't move till I finished it. I was that entertained by the story I had to know what was gonna happen next.
Maybe it was like that for him...probably not but my point stands:p

game has a memory leak that's for sure

Was playing with around 1GB ram usage. getting 40-50FPS fine 24/7 on High/Ultra
left it in thew game menu for a hour un pause Instant lag, then random slow downs Ram usage went to 9GB :)

not bad for sitting in the menu.

I get as far as the menu, then it crashes when I try to start a new game :(

Also got a low memory warning with nothing else running.

I've been playing on the mobile app called "ctOS mobile" and it's pretty awesome.

You take control of ctOS and the police helicopter is your avatar, you gotta keep the car(Aiden) in sight to earn Heat points which you spend on calling in police cars and triggering hazards like traffic lights and bollards. The cool thing is it that you are interacting with someone playing the proper game, sort of like PvP I guess.

Just purchased the game and have a quick question. I have an Alienware m17x r4 with a i7 3630QM, 8gb RAM, GTX680m. Any idea what kind of performance I should get?

it's not your 7970 that's bottle necking you it's the cpu. my oc'd 965 holds my 7870xt back a fair bit. drop the shadows down and see what happens, I'm willing to bet you'd get a fair increase.

I think that my be due to the CPU. If you look at their cpu benchmarks: http://www.techspot.com/review/827-watch-dogs-benchmarks/page5.html

My i7 950 would probably struggle as well. I guess the newer i7 variants would most likely do better when paired with a 7970 and that seems to be the case in their benchmarks

Thing is, a lot of the benchmarks have a stock 2500k pretty much on a par with the newer chips, suggesting that it isn't so much CPU limited as GPU?
That said, I have ordered a new cooler and will be OC'ing my chip to 4.5Ghz, see if that helps!
