Watch Dogs

Are all games 900p on ps4? And 30fps? Only just got one yesterday. What is infamous? That's the best looking for me so far.

Most ps4 games are 1080p and infamous is one of them :) it has an unlocked frame rate and runs around 30/40fps.

Its still early days i think once the devs start getting used to the hardware we will see better numbers.

Still hammering away on this game.. so much to do, loads of side missions and extras to complete and the story seems quite solid for me so far. Still really liking this game.

I'm really struggling to get into this game, I think I thought it'd be more stealth involved - more Deus Ex than GTA but it seems to be the other way around. Is there any way to see what your current objectives are once they've disappeared from the top-left of the screen? Hopefully Wolfenstein should arrive today (should have arrived on Friday grr) so may take a break.

Anyone got any tips on how to escape from the police? I started from scratch last night and got to the bit just before the second mission when you get hacked and I could not get rid of the police cars chasing me. So far have tried hiding in car, hacking traffic lights, causing an explosion - which actually blew up my car and killed me, I was expecting there to be a delay between hacking the explody thing and the actual explosion.

I've got quite a few gripes with this game. I suppose I'm enjoying it, but I'm not really sure. I've just started Act 2.

What's the point in money? I've got nearly 2 million in the bank and I never need any? OK, I bought a couple of ingredients, but they're not exactly expensive. You could buy out the shop and get all your money back with one successful hack. Perhaps money becomes important later on?

What the point in the police? Generally, I find it quite easy to evade the police. But, one time I got cornered and they killed me. So I respawn. Apparently with no penalty. They didn't even seem to take any of my cash. That's no threat.

Traffic Lights. I've lost the ability to hack these. They're never an option now. I've bought all the hack skills, but traffic lights never come up as a target any more - they used to. Everything else still seems to.

Cash Coin Runs - or whatever they're called. They seem to be locked most of the time. Now I'm sure I just don't understand the mechanic... but... there is nothing to tell me why!

Side missions. Once you've done one of each type of side missions - they're all the same. 40(!!) of the Fixer contracts you have to do to get the 'chevo on XBone. 40 of the same thing. Variation is essentially nil.

Aiden Pearce is a dick.

Aim for bridges where you can hack them, hack them just as you get to them and your police convoy will just stop with you on the other side - they will try to find a way around, but it'll be too late.

Once over the bridge, jump out the car and hack the helicopter if there is one. Drive off, hide in car or use Jammers whenever the yellow search circle is about to zero in on you. Job done.

The key is to spend your skill points on the hack tree first. Don't bother with the weapons etc. It's all too easy.

Also, with the explosions etc - are you hacking them as an attempt to make them go off as you go over them? Don't. Drive over it, when the people chasing you hit it the game will show the X with a blue flashing diamond - hit X then and you'll take the car out. Jeez, I'm bad at the description, but you'll see what I mean easy enough :)

Confirms my initials beliefs that this game would turn out to be repetitive...

Buying things, cars/weapons, high stakes poker if you fancy that. Money isn't really a problem in this game though.

They are fairly tough to get away from on 4/5 level. Doesn't need to be a penalty though really, the feeling of being beaten by them is enough for me. Any other penalty imposed by games like this in the past has been a minor annoyance rather than a 'threat'

Unless you've found a bug I've not seen anyone else mention I'm going to assume this is user error I'm afraid.

Not sure, I didn't try these until fairly late in the campaign and they're working fine for me

Wrong. There are 4? I think types of fixer contract. The race ones, the getaway ones, the chase ones and the get the cars to the destination undamaged ones.

It isn't the same thing though. There is like 5 different types of fixer contracts and I found them pretty fun. Its not like you have to do them...

I've just started on Act 5 and I'm really enjoyed it.. there have been a couple of missions that have been quite hard and taken a couple of goes but nothing frustrating. I'll probably get the campaign finished tonight and will then spend the next few days with all the side missions etc.

Quick one. Can I trade this in when I'm finished. About to buy it but wondering if there's any codes that need to be used for online which will with stop me selling it on.

Thanks.

PS4 btw.

I was having troubles with convoys at first but now found a very straight forward strategy (forgive me if its already mentioned or is plain obvious :D).

Remote controlled IEDS, 2 of them placed on the street where the convoy is headed, wait/hide behind a wall or your own car, take first car out, and second when needed. I did this 4 times in a row without firing a single shot. The explosions look absolutely beautiful especially when there are a lot of cars about.

There is a chance to blow up the target man but usually he is in the middle car and so far has not died due to the explosion for me.

Most of the game is easy as pie, especially gang hideouts and the ctOS Central places. It's just the driving that is bloody awful on keyboard. I consider it a real achievement if I can go 500m without crashing into anything!!

Need to play with the settings some more, too. Even with Nvidia's recommended settings, the game is stuttery as hell - Nagging fear my CPU/RAM are bottlenecking it something chronic!!

You realise this is the console section, we use controllers here that make the driving so much easier ;)

The driving is ******* terrible on PlayStation 4. Controller or keyboard, PC or console. The driving is awful.
