quite happy with my first effort.. couple of issues (mixed up the inlet and outlet on the cpu bracket.. bit too much pipe but I quite like that now..

apart from that much less drama than I was expecting!

remember its my first crack at modding or watercooling so dont be too harsh

processor is currently running 2c above ambient with the fans turned all the way down and only goes up about 3-4c after a hour or so of battlefield 2.

GPU has dropped from 51c idle and 70c load to 31c idle and 35c load.

And even better my northbridge doesn't run at 51c anymore with that silly heatpipe on it :)

My new equipment.

Fan shroud made of cornflakes box, with 120mm silenX fan.

Load temps at 33 degrees

Finally found this thread thanks to matt100 :)

Anyhoo, just put a new rig together, nothing special and only just finished so plenty of "fiddling" to go yet...

Yes I know it is blue... but I like blue... Thinking of doing it all red but lack of motivation rules at the moment.

Apologies for the poor pic, but my camera skills are weak. You should've seen the others I took!

It's as based around an X2 chip at the moment as I thought I'd give one of them a bash to see what they are like for CAD\Rendering, spec as follows:

AMD X2 3800+ @ 2500Mhz, have booted it at 2800Mhz but need to work on getting it stable now it's watercooled.
ASUS A8N Premium mobo
2 GB Geil Value
7800 GTX Sli 490\1300 (Core will run at 520 but memory is maxxed)
74GB Raptor
300GB Maxtor
2 No CSP MAG pumps, currently incorrectly fitted in series...
RBX Cpu block
nv78 GFX blocks
DD HD poly res
Thermochill 120.3 rad with Akasa Ambers
Vantec Nexus fan controllers
All in a Lian Li PC75B

Had a mare with this build, cpu block leaked at one of the barbs for the first time in about 5 builds. The res is leaking at one of the barbs now as well, although that may be sorted now, didn't catch it in time to save the DVD\RW drive though... Never had any trouble at all before.Oh , and I'm less than impressed with these Akasa Ambers, they're far from quiet at 7v. Need to get another fan controller that allows you to take them lower...
