WC virgin needs some advice...

well i am bored so i am gonna strip down this PC and harvest stuff ready for the new build. Catch you all on the morrow'.

Hopefully more update pics to follow soon :)

Good morning :) The original machine is now but a carcass representing two years of joy. The new build however is coming along at a steady pace. The new case is now home to SSD's, HDD's, DVD, Power supply, mobo & CPU...

All that needed now is the CPU backplate and the res. Both of which should be here today. Then it's full steam ahead once again and finish off with leak testing etc.

Pics to follow later.

Need a little advise please.

Would this connect my GPU water blocks together?

Just realised you need to buy 2 connectors also... More expense that aint necessary. Already spent a small fortune on this lot!

Some updated pics...

Not the best quality from my phone cam but you get the idea.

I have stashed a temp probe behind the CPU mount and also snuck some just inside the GPU's.

I will have an opening ceremony once the build is complete... Only then will that plastic come off :)

Thats it for now until the backplate and res arrive :)

Need to ask also... Should i mount the fans on the top or bottom of the radiator?

Upto you. If you have fans topside, you need bolts which go thru the case, fan then into the Rad. If you have fans underneath, you bolt the rad to the case then the fans to the Rad.

So depends on what bolts/screws you have and whether you want to see/hide your fans. Just remember which way round your fans blow (push/pull) as if you put them topside, as you'll swear if you put them the other way round and have to change them.
