Weekend Football 21/22 & 23rd ***SPOILERS***

Wasn't the evans disallowed goal where we should have had a freekick for the blackburn player just body checking rafael. That was a foul not a corner but I dont think that you can whinge too much about the decision. Blackburn got away with that. Ronaldo blatently dived and got booked but so did pederson at the other end. You see when rafael puts his hands on pederson he goes down like a ton of bricks and the replay clearly shows the most delicate of contact. He should have been booked for that dive. If he would have got the penalty he dived for he would also have got rafael sent off. That should have been a card for pederson.

Sentantas commentary was appauling. You could see they didnt really believe what they were actually saying about the penalty shout. They showed the slow-mo and it ruined their shouts for a penalty as it was so clear it was a dive.

Close season, when other managers won't be distracted by ongoing club commitments, is a faaaaar better time to try to hire someone than in the middle of a season.

But then, you've actually just said that Ray Wilkins would be a better appointment than Guus Hiddink, so I'm not sure how seriously I can argue any point with you.

Hiddink is just there as a favor to his friend, he doesn't have any goals or long term aims for the club.

Ray is there for the stay, he could have used his time in charge to bring youngsters through, try new tactics and show that the team is together, Roman thinks that hiring a new manager every time he isn't getting what he wants is the answer.

Its not.
I don't think Hiddink was a good appointment, you might win a cup, but you won't progress as a team.

And yeah, I expect there are a good number of good managers that don't want to go to Chelsea, its just money, money can't buy you a reputation.
Why would a top manager risk his priceless reputation on Chelsea ?

Who do you hope you get in to manage the club ?

Am I the only person that thought that the Blackburn player was lucky not to get booked for diving ?

No way was the samba Nev's touch enough to stop him. He should have taken the shot and possibly scored.

Expecting a good performance today. City are awful away from home and will come to attack which should leave plenty of space for us to catch them on the break.

Team
Reina
Arbeloa
Dossena
Carragher
Skrtel
Lucas
Mascherano
Benayoun
Riera
Kuyt
Torres.

Bit worried about Dossena against SWP and/or Robinho and Lucas against anyone near him. If City score today it'll probably be down to one of those two. Wouldn't be surprised if it was from a penalty.

Liverpool 11:
-----------Reina
Arbeloa-Carra-Skrtle-Dossena
-Benny-Masch-Lucas-Riera
-------Torres-Kuyt

We may play a 4-2-3-1 with Benayoun off Torres though.

edit: beaten by Pigeon :o

Isn't SWP suspended?

Why no Aurelio??!! Would much rather see him in place of either of those 2 jokers! Could have had Carra at right back, brought in Agger/Hyypia, stuck Arbeloa on the left, and had Aurelio in midfield with Masch. Having Lucas and Dossena doesn't inspire me with much confidence!

Can't believe it looks like we're going to let Agger go either, he's top drawer!

If Aurelio has been rested why not use Insua whos just come back from a tournament where he played well? In fact why not resign Traore and stick him as LB, same level of usefulness as Dossena.

Pray to god that Dossena has the game of his live today and makes me look stupid after constantly slagging him off. I'd love that to happen even at my expense, but it wont :/

City will fold against Liverpool, they are not a big enough club for anything to matter to them other than trying to stop united winning the league.
