Weekend Football 21/22 & 23rd ***SPOILERS***

7 points difference is nothing - even a loss isnt so bad (worse for morale than the actual table) , with 12 games left to play (as well as the 6 pointer at OT in March) today isnt going to make much difference at all imo

I disagree, 7 points difference is big, especially when talking about utd. Assuming we beat utd in that match (and that in itself is a fairly big if, utd would be very happy to just sit and get a draw), even with a win there its 4 points behind. I simply do not see utd dropping that number of points with the games they have left. Its 3 pts today to keep us in with a chance, a draw today and I think we end up look at it mathematically rather than realistically.

Even if we did win today so what after most of our performances this season we will drop a lot more points before the end of the season which Man U probably won't.

Despite doing their level best to get thrashed, city somehow get a draw, Rafa's incompetence is rapidly approaching legendary status.

God, I was actually willing City to get a point in the end. I feel dirty!

And The house of scouse is not going to catch United the way they're going. They're going on about the match at Old Trafford but they can't win the league there, though they can certainly lose it. Liverpool have 12 games left. They'll probably need to win all 12 and it's just not going to happen.

but we also have at least two more matches (Carling Cup Final and FA CU1/4) to play than you do, so Im not convinced we arent going to get more injuries before the end of the season

as long as you have Reina and torres and Gerrard you usually do ok - and Gerrard is due back for Wednesday

Its not over until the fat lady sings - of course it was a blow today only getting a point , but it doesnt make you down and out, until Chelsea drop more points they are still in it also (more likely to drop them than Liverpool are imo)

Dont ever think that now - Utd have to go away to Newcastle, have City and West Ham and boro and Arsenal all to play, and not one of those will be an easy game for Utd no matter what form we have going into the match (or form they have for that matter)

No way is it over yet - but IF Utd can win at Newcastle and then beat pool at OT in the next league game - that will be a huge step towards the title no matter what result Liverpool get in the intervening games (they should have played one more by then due to Carling Cup final next weekend, they could be a point behind us before stepping onto OT - even with games in hand its still that close....ooppsss sorry my maths failed me there, but if Utd drop points against Newcastle it could be pretty close by that time
