Weekend Football; 31st -1st - *SPOiLERS*

So you mean, he's the only player whose lost the ball at all on the pitch, so he's crap? ok.

I don't think Adebayor has gotten a single pass right yet, and as for diving for freekicks, every single replay clearly showed they were in no way even close to dives, not in the slightest. People like to hate him and every single time he loses the ball our awful fans pick on him. When Ade loses it, its not a big deal, or RVP, or anyone else. i can't name a footballer, in the history of football, who hasn't given the ball away, can you?

Again, you guys are waiting for his every mistake and pouncing on it ignoring everyone else who does the same things. He might have given it away slightly more, but he's been on the ball more than anyone else, again.

Slightly more? I refer to the Everton game. The number of attacks we had was reduced by about 5 because of his carelessness.

Nobody minds him giving the ball away, that's not the point. It's the sheer number of times he does it that annoys people. Then add the attitude when somebody else messes up. Sagna so far in his Arsenal career has been excellent. He was lambasted by Adebayor earlier in the first half because he uncharacteristically goofed a cross up.

I think, i'm in two minds about Nasri I think he's a very talented player for sure, he's not quite got the consistancy maybe you'd hope but he can hopefully grow into that. However I think he's doing a lot better today because Neil is particularly slow for a rightback and he's one of the few he can outrun.

I'm not sure he has the raw speed to be this good against other rightbacks. I think maybe once he gets a good partnership with Clichy going and they learn what each other like to do getting him free on the overlap will help him a lot.

Green, didn't Eboue not play in the Everton game, well not till late, and as a right back, and barely got on the ball late in the game because he wasn't playing high up the pitch. You think its that game he gave the ball away constantly costing us attacks, are you sure? Sure it wasn't the no pace Denilson on the wing in that particular game who gave the ball away with almost every single touch?

I don't think the build up is particularly good, there aren't many quick passes, no one touch passes, no fast movement and penetrative runs/passes. It's all very slow, repetitive and predictable. Not going to score this way.

Really? It all seems fine up until that pass in towards the box.

Other than RvP, Nasri has been our best player by some distance in the recent unbeaten run.

There's too many horizontal passes, there's no energy, it looks like the players are only there because they have to be. There is no passion.

And reading drunkenramblers quotation there, Nasri has been incredible to say he's just come into the English league, him and RvP are completely carrying the team creatively.

Exactly, he's constantly crap, Adebayor is hit and miss so far this season, I can't remember Eboue doing anything to deserve his place ahead of say Vela or Wiltshire.

And no, I'd rather him be playing well like he did last season, but your support for him is beyond belief, you praise him like he's one of our best players when's he one of, if not, the worst player in our squad.

Would you say the main culprits are the front two? I thought Nasri, Eboue, Vela since he came on, and Denilson have run their socks off so far.

Bendtner has kept on running as well to be fair. It just all falls apart around the box.

I'm referring to Adebayor, not Eboue :p

Confused.

Adebayor is crap, RVP and Bendtner are supporting strikers, Bendtner is instantly 10 times better every game he players with a Theo/Eduaro/Vela type infront of him, so does RVP, yet we insist on playing a style of football to get Ade tap in's. I wish someone was counting the stats of how many shots Ade has in a game, because since his goal scoring run last year, so the last 10 games or so and most games this year he's barely having 2 shots in a game, i'm almost certain he's had 4 or 5 games with no shots at all.

Even crap teams with crap strikers take shots, he just never gets in position, he gets the ball into feet, back to goal and is completely unwilling to turn and run at, or turn and shoot at the goal. he just pings it instantly back to midfield. We don't paly any real counter attacking football with him its always slow build up play as he isn't willing to make runs in behind.

I just want one game, with no Ade, no song, no diaby and no Denilson this season, i'm pretty sure any squad we put out without those 4 on the pitch would be pretty fantastic, but Wenger flat out refuses to drop people who aren't performing. Ade doesn't even try in most of his games.

EDIT:_ is diaby now on a match suspension for yellow cards? so next game will be nasri, song denilson and one of ramsey or Wilshire assuming Eboue isn't back by then? knowing our luck RVP will come on for 5 mins, get a yellow and be out of that game too.

How the hell did Tony Cascarino get a job for The Times?

Just looking at the weekend preview.

Apparently Newcastle should drop Bassong, our best defender this season, for Taylor. Also, we should play Beye in central defence. I personally think there may be a slight problem with playing Beye due to the fact that he is injured until April. Do your ******* research, it's your job!

Hard to say, I think it's just a general lack of quality and creativity.

It's unbelievable that the only real hope of a goal is to stick RvP on :/
