Weekend Football Thread - 15/8 to 17/8 *spoilers*

At the moment, the two ends seem to be Utds weakest points. They've been doing some lovely play around the middle, but seem to be lacking an edge up front, seems a lot of the final shot has been wayward or lacking. In defense they have appeared to struggle in dealing with crosses into the area, though I am sure thats mainly down to the lack of Vidic/Ferdinand. For some odd reason Foster seems to be standing out of position for a lot of the crosses.

Wonder if we will see Owen in the second half.

me 2, i think its because his swan dives of grace are worse than ronaldos but he has barely any output. i just dont rate him one bit. his respect for the game is non existant, somebody puts a bit of weight on him from the shoulder n hes down like a pile of jelly. cant stand people like that.
 
Bit annoying that Carrick has been left out, I have him in my fantasy football team and I genuinely think he is our best midfielder now that Ronaldo has gone. Nice to see Berba playing so well and seems like he will have a good partnership with Rooney this season. Would like to see Owen brought on at some point!

Yes.

It's just something lacking about Nani, he doesn't seem to have his heart there.
I prefer Tosic to Nani, I think it's because Nani tries all these long shots etc, he's trying to be Ronaldo, trying to be fancy and score wonder goals and take everyone on, I disliked Ronaldo for it and I dislike Nani for it.

I'm enjoying watching Valencia play though, he's lovely and nippy and has great movement on and off the ball.
 
1st half, Nani and Evra were a massive threat, lots of overlapping runs. So he takes off Nani and brings on Giggs, now that threat has gone completely. I've seen Giggs get the ball twice and he's lost it both times :(
