Spurs much the better side at the break.

Impressive goal, however should really have scored a couple more.
 
Johnson's just not very good at defending, seeing as he's a defender by trade, it causes problems :p
 
Fantastic goal.

We just havent got going yet, looking very ragged. If anything there seems to be too much movement. Kuyt and Torres seem to be moving about all over the place and people never seem to be too sure where anyone else is.

Thank god for Reina, outstanding saves. Otherwise it could be 3-0.

Babel is still utter ****...still just runs and runs and runs and runs and then gets tackled
 
Obviously premature and probably wrong but Liverpool look like they've gone back to the 07/08 version (and before). Andy Gray was wrong when he said Liverpool lack desire and determination, they lack organisation and efficiency which it looks like Alonso gave to the team, which took the pressure off the midfield and defence. Now Liverpool look hurried and like they don't have full control of the ball when going forward and the disorganisation continues when they don't have the ball, Spurs should really be 2 or 3 up by now. That first half was a far cry from the team earlier this year who were probably the best in Europe at times, who knows, maybe just a bad half where they're still a bit rusty. They miss Alonso loads though that's easy to see

This could all be because Spurs are playing really well but I don't want to admit that
 
Game has been crap from our perspective. We've totally let Spurs dominate the game and we've been flapping around like headless chickens, as if trying to figure out where we are. I knew this is how the game would be after our terrible pre-season.

Babel is **** and I'm totally sick of seeing him on the pitch in the first team. He's got nothing in his game other than fast legs and a powerful shot, its nil points for every other footballing attribute. He cannot play in our team, its that simple, and Benitez needs to stop being a stubborn **** and play someone whose got a brain instead.
 
This is just dire; we need Alonso back. He was our only midfielder who could find space in his own half and get the team moving. Now we're back to the Houllier days of long ball football and passing backwards.
 
I think you're putting too much emphasis on Alonso not being in the team. It's quite literally the fact that some of the team can't be arsed and the other lot aren't good enough, but mostly no one can be arsed.

If that pony tailed **** comes on at any stage except for injury/time wasting I'm turning the TV off.
