Weekend Football Thread 23-26 *spoilers*

And I think you'll find Reina was in such a hurry that he barged into Vidic when getting rid of the ball. Neither player appealed for a FK as it quite simply wasn't.

I think you wont, Vidic came across in front of Reina deliberately ( who was running straight out), even flinging his arm in front of him to try and impede him, should've been a yellow for vidic.

Dont bad mouth one of our only selfish players lol

At least he shoots on goal which is why i miss Rosicky.

He could do whatever the hell he wanted on the ball as long as he fights to get it back like the other 9 players, unfortunately he NEVER does, therefore leaving the opposition with an outlet all the time. This current Arsenal game plan doesn't work when 1 player decides he's too good to try, everybody needs to put in the effort.

Call me odd but at the moment, given the chance, I'd take Rosicky over Arshavin on the left every game. He just fits Arsenal far better ..

Yes I agreed Rosicky does have a much better work ethic but I would still always like to have Arshavin in the team. He just needs a little bit of a slap every now and then.

Torres is by far the worst for it.

Not only is he the worst for flopping anytime anyones near him, he seems to purposely flop over against players he's up against, he barely even tries to play football till he's got his markers booked, and are therefore less willing to tackle him.

But also, if you remember back to the Chelsea game, people catch people late often, accidentally thats football. But Torres went in late on 4-5 players multiple times in that game and most games, he trod on Terrys ankle IIRC, on purpose years after the ball went, it was a deliberate foul and unsurprisingly on a player he was up against, he does that, and the flopping over every single game. he's just a cheat, how often do players go down with a genuine chance to score, most teams, not often. Torres, Gerrard, Kuyt, every game constantly, its embarassing.

As for Arshavin, I haven't seen him play well once with Diaby as the closest player to him, haven't seen Clichy have a good game since Diaby's been in the team either, must be a coincidence though, when theres someone more capable passing to Arshavin and helping run the wing he wasn't that influencial was he..............

As for Eduardo, one dive, ONE, and you brand one of your own players a cheat worse than Torres, my god man, Song's brilliant because he didn't screw up against awful teams recently and isn't terrible because the first team that put him under pressure, he cracked and Eduardo's a bigger diver than Eduardo. I saw Torres dive more in that one game yesterday than I've ever seen Eduardo dive in all his games.

its getting boring when Arsenal fans equate not screwing up massively as bring great.

Its not that plain and simple. the first goal came from their player running into ours who stood still. Didnt see him even take a step.

The second was a dive for the penalty. He barely touched the back of his leg and both were on their feet.

So i dont think it was shoddy as you call it.

2-0 up and then finishing the game 2-2 against a team in the bottom 3 is shoddy.

I don't care how you want to sugar coat it, if it happened to us I would say exactly the same.

I know you're far from intelligent but even a retarded child would know that I was joking about Eduardo.

You can't defend Arshavin by blaming his performances on Diaby, he's been lazy and ineffectual for the most part. He's certainly talented but he's been amongst the worst 3 or 4 players in the team every single game without fail

In fact, I'm now very bored of hearing the phrase 'Oh, given away by Arshavin, not often we say that' - it's strange that this comment is the one I've heard most this season by commentators ..

Amidst all my negativity, on a whole I think Arsenal are playing excellently and they're my favourites for the title

Looks like old Whiskey nose has lost it again re the ref, add this one to the list of disrepute charges he will get a slap on the wrist for

Its not sugar coating it. Those are decisions made by the ref so they arent to do with Arsenal playing shoddy.

Oohhhh a rolleyes.

Don't get upset son, **** happens.

You can blame the ref all you like but at the end of the day your team lost a 2-0 lead to a team in the bottom 3.

You threw it away, have a look through the thread at all the ****ed off Gooners, it might cheer you up, it did me :)

The free kick was just a total referee'ing blunder, an error. Arsenal can't be blamed for that. Arsenal can however be blamed for carrying on with Mannone in goal, no idea what he was trying from that free kick, poor judgement.
