Weekend Football Thread. 7-9 *spoilers*

we didn't deserve a win, although we should have won.
**** season gets worse.

tomorrow better be a drubbing

Well the fair result would have been 2-1 to the Brum, and yellows to Ngog and Gerrard for diving, what a surprise.

Defensively Liverpool are just utter crap, and offensively they aren't good enough to compensate, personally I think even with Torres/Gerrard fit they aren't good enough, they can't bank on 2 goals from each in every game to get ahead of the couple goals they'll inevitably concede, without Gerrard/Torres fit they aren't close to good enough wingers/extra strikers wise to outscore the competition.

Correction this season we have been not we are just all the time so your wrong their.

Defensivly were very poor this season so far, and our squad isnt big enough however imo yes it will be a little biased if our first 11 is fit and on their game they can match any team.

We were totally robbed tonight. 18 attempts on goal to their 2 on target which were both from pens. We played brilliantly, if Macken could finish it'd have been game over.

The first penalty decision was a joke, Steele got his hand on the ball. The second I think could have gone either way, Hamill gave the ref the chance to give it by putting his hand on Walker's shoulder but he fell to the ground like he'd been shot.

Davies went to head butt Macken too which was a red.

At least we've now got a ~2 week break to get the team back together and fit. We're not going to win any titles, but fingers crossed we can set ourselves back up for next season, not finishing in the top four would be the real disaster.

They should have lost that, not for the first time in a pivotal, point(s) gaining, situation Liverpool gain something by cheating.

I sincerely hope that Ngog is given the Eduardo treatment, no, wait..

As said above, a team not doing well could really benifet from an International break. Very annoyed at having one at this stage of the season. Would be better perhaps if teams could opt out of friendlies if they've already qualified etc.

has the standard of officiating gone through the bloody floor this season?

Yup, I seriously wonder if its bad on purpose, so Platini and the likes can push their agenda of 2 extra ref's, then ignore the video replay argument for several more years.

I can't see it, tonight a American footie system, Brum through a red flag, ref goes and looks at replay, first replay would have been clear as day, 20 seconds and a yellow and no penalty. Not sure why thats so hard to implement, it works in dozens of sports realistically, when you see how long it took from penalty given to penalty taken anyway, it wouldn't have added any time in the slightest.
