Weekend Football Thread. 7-9 *spoilers*

Interesting how N'gog pulls off the seasons worst dive to earn Liverpool a point at home against relegation candidates and the forum is awash with "ohh shame didn't need to dive" or "ach he is young and he will learn" or "awell we deserved a goal anyway". Wonder if that was Rooney or Drogba or Van Persie what the reaction would have been? He has purposely cheated to benefit his side and I hope action is taken!

Also if you can't put the ball in the back of the net you deserve sweet hooplah!

Proud of Birmingham today. They deserved more from that showing.

They should have lost that, not for the first time in a pivotal, point(s) gaining, situation Liverpool gain something by cheating.

I sincerely hope that Ngog is given the Eduardo treatment, no, wait..

lol, you're having a laugh :p

Ngog will get no retroactive punishment and neither do I think he should be. Its NOT HIS FAULT the ref was incompetant, and punishing Ngog doesn't make the referee better. This is the problem, people dive, people foul, people punch and people are offside, people do these things and who the hell cares, the only issue is having ref's who can interpret what they see better and get these decisions right.

I'm still more irritated by Gerrards even worse attempt at a dive, at least Carsley gave Ngog the excuse to dive, Gerrard as per usual is more than willing to throw himself to the ground whenever its not going his way.

Ngog I don't know as a diver, like with Eduardo a one off I won't crucify him for, Gerrard, its an every game thing, he's just a flat out cheat.

Did no-one watch football before this season? Referees have been slated for years and always make mistakes. No difference this season.

nah it's been crapper, and not just for united or other top 4 teams (either in their favour or not). it's just been completely dire in the top flight. you might not have noticed it as i guess it effects you less now ;)

Well following the comments about the video I posted earlier in this thread. I have started a thread to see what videos you guys can create from these OcUK threads. It also features an updated version of my video.

Awesome :D How have you done that?

I'm pleased obviously. i just keep thinking to myself before every game that pools bad run has to come to an end soon.
No chance really, got a big registered squad but not enough to make a top 4 squad consistently. Pool have been unlucky with injuries but thats life and managers make their wage dealing with that and having contigencies. Just amazing how few of Liverpool top players either have to be injuried or off form and the team just erodes. Just cant see them anywhere but just fighting to keep in the top 4 this season - I guess they have to hope they do an Arsenal last season and peak in the final third of the season...

Personally I put the blame fully on Benitez but I would be 100% biased as I hate the **** :p...

ps3ud0

Yeah, yeah. :p

Seriously though I don't think it's any worse, when things aren't going your way you start to look at referees decisions more. Taking Newcastle last season as an example, Beye's Man City sending off and the Fulham disallowed goals were terrible decisions, worse than most this season. As I say referees are always crap. :p

If drogba dived out of them three players you mentioned no one would be surprised as he only needs a nudge to go to the floor proves that nearly every week and then flaps about on the floor whilst he is at it.

No, I honestly think its quite significantly worse this year, more than any year I remember. Almost every game has just unbelievable decisions.

I remember, well infact I don't remember who it was, that got a second yellow for sliding on a ridiculously wet pitch on Freddie Ljunberg and got sent off. That was a rarity, it happened twice last weekend alone. Incorrect penalties every single weekend, awful sendings off, terrible tackles receiving nothing. Bentley got nothing for a red card foul nor a deliberate hand ball, Fellani yesterday was appauling, did enough fouls in the first half to be sent off and nothing.

Cena again against West Ham the week before should have been off in the first half which would have changed the game, as it would have yesterday. Evans should have been off yesterday for what can only be described as assault(even if we all cheered a little inside).
