Great weighted pass from Gallas, but v.Persie?

And then Eboue does a classic Eboue! Booked for a deliberate hand ball when he couldn't reach it with his head

sky sports reporting that toon have had the price met, but stil complications over banking facility... yawn i won't hold my breath. ashley will wait to sell if we get promoted. he'l make more that way.

Was that a real penalty for Villa, or did Petrov not dive, just seemed dodgey to say the least, Belhadj put his foot in which made it look like a foul but I think Petrov looked on his way down without really any contact at that point.

Nice goal by Vermaelen again, looks a solid threat from all set pieces. AS someone said, looks like some yellows should be out for Wigan players by now and the last few minutes we've let them get back into the game, quite a few set pieces for them. Again, wheres our central mid gone?

Another dangerous set piece, though Bramble fouling Verm in every set piece, last one he was just shoving Verm in the face to which the ref called them both over for a talking to, gets boring ref's taking the easy path out, rather than make a decision to whose fouling, just "talk" to them both and get on with it.

Eboue really is trying. It's a pity that the man's cack with the ball though.

I would that is slightly unfair! But just slightly, he does amazing things sometimes, but other times he makes me want to chuck things at the screen.

Good save from Mannone there also.

Far more frequently he's awful with the ball / when he's presented with the ball.

He runs a lot, this is one of those games that he is getting right up there. But as usual with him the end product isn't great.

That was a silly yellow for Song to concede. 38 mins down and at 1-0 up.

How come Mannone is playing? Almunia been dropped or injured?

Virus apparantly was his reason for missing Wednesday night. I presume the same thing today.

Jesus, Song is pathetic again, all he does is cynically foul people, for no reason, with them miles away from goal and no real danger. He always steps in to challenges leaving himself no way to cover and no choice but to foul, he does it every single time, he's basically the easiest person to get past in the league, just run at him, he'll run at you, miss the ball and foul you or let you in behind.

Another poor team, poor midfield and Song hasn't got a single thing right, constantly leaving us under pressure, marks no one, marks no runs into the box, ball chaser rather than doing his job. He's almost cost us several times in this game, against a poor team, and he cost us in every big game last year, how on earth do we play him :(

INjured, supposedly, think Mannone's getting the nod purely for experience because he's another player who will count as home grown, so hopefully he gets good. One good save, one very poor rush out and messed up clearance that put us in a bit of trouble.

Pompie, 0 points in what, is this the 6th game today, and Spurs fans thought they had it bad last year, odd's on the new owner promising Redknapp 300million to spend and he returns to Pompie?

EDIT:- lol, Van Persie airkick spinning himself around and caught his face on the back of a Wigan player on the way down? I shouldn't laugh, but it was damn funny :p

Ouch, awful attempted finish by VP there, snatched at that like a mofo, not sure if Eddie would have been offside had he gotten to that, probably.

I wouldn't agree with Song being totally useless, I think he has mopped up decently a few times in front of the back four, but you are right in the fact that he clearly isn't a good enough solution long term.

@Greenlizard0. Yeah you are right, but now an then he makes my heart skip with a bit skill or a run, but then I realise his final isn't going to be up to much.

v.Persie... He had so much time there. :(
