I can't believe how everyone is saying Nani was bad/should be shot when he was far better than Welbeck, Fletcher and Scholes
not to mention how poor Rooney was.
In the end Fergie lost us that
1. Starting Welbeck over Valencia, Anderson, Tosic and Giggs
2. Dropping Giggs completely
3. Rotating our central midfield AGAIN
4. Not having a striker on the bench, is he a moron? What's wrong with Macheda
This I don't get, Giggs is 478, he's played a lot for him recently, play him again and with higher chances of being injured, risk him being gone for the year, over what "should" have been one of the easier games. Anderson sucks and isn't a winger, Giggs needed a break, I wouldn't start a midget in Tosic in one of his first real games against a physical side, and Valencia, showed as little today after he came on as he's shown since the season started tbh and thats very very little, but again this "should" have been a routine game if Scholes/Nani/Rooney/Fletcher/o'shea/vidic/ferdy/foster shown up, which they didn't.
I don't think he made any critical errors tbh, all his reasons were understandable and while a risk had it paid off and left Giggs available for a tougher game he was instrumental in, most on here would be licking his balls for great man management and getting the best out of an OAP.
Sometimes it goes wrong, but thats one thing UTD can say, and this is where I harp on about being great being unimportant, not being bad is the key to winning. Most of your players are rarely that bad, the chance of them all having their worst game of maybe the last few years all on the same day, are very very close to zero, but, eventually, it will happen.
He could have made changes earlier and I still think the TEAM would be better with Rooney/Valencia as established, form, playing every game wingers, with Berbs/Owen forming a partnership. Valencia isn't close to a replacement for Ronaldo, starting to think 16mil was about 8mil too much for him. Rooney has shown time and time again last year, that he's 10 times the winger that Nani is, and welbeck, anderson or whoever else you want to smash out there. Owen's scored, looks sharp and Berbatov plays better with more smart runners going into the box, his game is all about getting the ball early and picking the right pass to the right player in behind the defence, with Valencia/Rooney from deeper and Owen up top, he'll have options all over the place.
UTD need a real winger, another striker, or two, a CB and a real keeper.
ALso yes, the quality of the prem seems absurd, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, Pool seem to put in far more "poor" games a year than 5 years ago, I mean games where they just flat out suck, truly great games seem further and further apart.
