Weekend Football Thread *spoilers be inside*

Well done Liverpool. Not a fantastic performance from Liverpool though but the result is what matters. Can't understand how Benitez never put Aquilani on if he's supposingly lacking match fitness.

I know I'm going on about this, but can someone tell me how anyone in their right minds can say this is fair?

The rules regarding abandoned games need looking at imo.

I don't know about the yellow card, I'm sure you could fire off a letter to the FA and ask them about it.

RE the game being called off, It was fair. Would you rather have your players injured?

No they don't. They're fine. Why don't you agree with Plymouth to give you the score back? That's what has happened before in games that were called off.

We were abysmal for the majority of the game and very lucky to win but I'll happily take the 3 points. Everton should consider themselves very unlucky they didn't draw because that's the least they deserved.

Thought Mascherano was head and shoulders above every other outfield Liverpool player again today and I was happy to see his celebration after scoring and the full time whistle. We've got to do everything we can to keep hold of him.

Think the 2-0 was a little of a flattering scoreline. We really didnt play that well at all, but got the result which is all that counts. Fantastic double save by Reina.

Though Yobo was the weakest link in the Everton side, other than that I thought they played pretty well.

Getting very impatient now with the Aquilani situation. On the verge of December now and still havent had 30 mins out of him. I understand easing him back to fitness but I really want to see him coming on for the last 10/15/20 mins to get some match sharpness.

I'm on about the booking now Tummy.

How a suspension can not be served but can be gained from a game that is wiped from the records.

The game still took place, but it was called off.

Cards should stand, I can see why you'd be annoyed but it's the same for every team that have a game called off.

I understand that the rules are the same for everyone, it's just rarely that a game has to be abandoned so late in the game with one side running away with it.

The point I'm making now is how can some aspects of the game be wiped from history but bookings can still stand?

If the game still took place, why are the FA saying our suspended player hasn't served his ban?
