Weekend Football Thread *spoilers*

Wenger does have class, he's just a bad loser and has said as much recently. I can't believe this handshake issue is being brought up again, I wouldn't have shook Hughes hand either and he was one of my favourite footballers growing up. He acted like a moron the whole match and instead of talking up his team's win during his post match interview, he concentrated on the lack of a handshake instead. Small time just like City.
 
I think Ferguson and Wenger are both bad losers, they have to be though to compete at this level, you can't be anything other than gutted everytime you lose when every loss can have a big impact on the season.

Well winners dont like losing and so its understandable as you say.

Who wants a manager who accepts defeat with a smile? I want him to be ####ed off and not talk to anyone after the game :D
 
Wenger had an issue with Hughes, it was nothing to do with the result, else why would he have shaken hands with the Assistant Manager Mark Bowen?

I notice Torres was actually offside why he played the ball to Gerrard for his 'penalty'

Well at the end of the day the best team won :D

We deserved the win purely for that first half performance ;)
 
Anywhoooo we won and got 3pts from a pretty difficult game...we didnt make things easy for ourselves with out rubbish passing game and defending...never should have let that goal by Kuyt go in.

But a lovely OG by Johnson and an Arshavin screamer put the result in our favour....hopefully we can get a few more results in to put the pressure on Man Utd and Chelski who i hope continue to drop points lol.

All in all we need to step up our game...we got lucky...could have been a draw or worse still was looking more and more likely a defeat.

Anyhow just happy we managed to beat Liverspuds tonight...if we hadnt i would have said our challenge for the prem title was more or less over.

Well said:)...i wouldnt have shook Hughes hand either...hes a tit for the way he defended Adebayors shameful headstamp on RVP earlier in the season.

Anyhow Hughes can only dream of the success that Wengers had in the past whereas he hasnt had any as a manager...well not yet but an open cheque will probably put that right in the next few yrs but i dont think Hughes will be around for long at Man City...hes too small time;):p

Well if thats what it took to get them to play better then well done...i was steaming myself at half time regarding the way we played...we just didnt look comfortable like we normally do and our passing was pretty dire.

So well done to Wenger for giving them a kick up the backside.

Yeah absolutely, seems odd its takem him this long to explode though.
