Weekend Football Thread *spoilers*

Absolutely deserved. Won everything that there is in the game, and at 36 still performing at the top of his game at one of the best clubs in the world. Truly amazing. Well done!

it isnt because its true, get over it. the decisions that go in his favour 9 times out of 10 would not happen for other teams :o

Manchester United don't get any more decisions go for them then any other club, it's all swings and round abouts.

I posted facts in a post a while back about the ammount of extra time, and pens given at grounds. United weren't the top of that list.

Wenger is my favorite manager manager of the weekend, for heaping yet more misery on the the hapless Benitez.

So I wont hear anything bad about him thank you very much.

Nuts.

None have been performing at the level that he has for the same amount of time.

Opinion based, not meant to be offensive, so don't take it that way :p Just my spin on it!
None taken. I'll happily support him when/if he wins a lifetime achievement award because he thoroughly deserves it for what he's done in the sport but this award's based on the calendar year and I don't think he's done anywhere near enough to win it this year.

Without getting into a debate over whether he deserved it or not, your point isn't really valid as it's a yearly award.

Had it been based on their careers then you'd have a point.

Well, its voted for by the public, so go and complain at them as to why you are right and they are wrong.

Did you ring up and vote for anyone else yourself by any chance?

Didn't he get the PFA award for last season? Even as an Arsenal fan I think he deserves it for the way he's performed in the past couple of seasons. And that's despite being a massive JB fan and thinking Jess Ennis is hot...

You are correct there and I would support that.

I would have to say Tom or Ennis for the year, as Button didn't run away with it.

EDIT: I didn't realise it was based on the Calendar year alone, i thought there were other factors to it.

It was awarded for every season really, theres no guidelines people have to follow when they vote ahahah, hes deserved it at the end of the day, i picked up the phone and voted, think its the first time ive ever voted on something :o
