Weekend Football Thread *spoilers*

On the way back from the fulham game, thank god we had something to cheer about, was freezing! United were woeful, and we should have been 3 up by half time. Zamora was brilliant again. Set up Duff, scored and nearly set up Gera if it hadn't been saved.

Great result, was kind of expecting to nick it, but not comfortably win. Fun atmosphere though, "we want four", "can we play you every week?" and from united in tune of band aid "feed the scousers, do they know it's chrismas time" :D:D

He rightly or wrongly ripped in to the referees performance and we all know refs are above criticism.

They're all perfect :p

edit: just finished watching our match. We've lost a lot of matches this season but there's usually been some positives to take out of the game, even if it's just been that we've created chances to waste but today was totally gutless throughout.

Something's got to chance soon or else we're going to struggle to make it into the Europa League next season let alone the Champions League.

LOL @ Rafa's post match interview with Sky. He sounded properly sharp and a bit nasty tbh.

Obviously under huge pressure but I wouldn't get shot of him just yet. He can turn it around I think but he just needs to stop what he's doing now and re-think.

The problem with the Mascherano challenge is his studs were up, his leg was completely straight, AND he went over the ball. So in that sense it is a dangerous challenge as any significant contact to Ben Haim and you'd be looking at a potentially serious injury. In my opinion the red was right.

Arsenal not looking good here. Eduardo is just so short of pace and confidence its painful to watch. Song needs to keep things simple and stop looking to be the one firing balls up to the forwards.

As for Hughes getting pushed out of his job, I think it is disgraceful.

Ohhhhh it's all kicking off!

It should be quite easy to pick out the Arsenal players, they'll be the ones throwing the handbags. :p

Lol wtf was that about. How pathetic. If there is a red card here then I'm going to give up watching football, how embarrassing.

/EDIT - Thank god. I didn't want to have to give up watching football :p Even the actual offence was minor. Stood on his foot... What an absolutely pathetic reaction.

Barmby should have got a yellow there? Although I'm not sure if Nasri meant to step on Garcia or not.

*edit* Just saw a replay there, Nasri should have had a yellow also. Handbags really.
