Crazy substitutions so early in the game from Mourinho! I think they'll come back to haunt him when Huth gets sent off in the 2nd half.

How much you want to bet. ;) Huth subbed too. Nowing going 3-5-2?

He seems OK with the situation:
"I am settling in more and more each time I play and getting more and more settled with the surroundings. I am just hoping to improve every time. The stamina is there, it is just getting my game sharpness at the spot I want it and that comes with playing games, which I have been recently.”
“It is a case of adapting to the formation. You know that if you are on one side of the pitch and the ball is on the other, you become the second striker. Once you get used to that you are flying"
Has Walcott played recently?

I just think if he had stayed at Man City or played regular First team football he would have started in front of Beckham at the WC. I think its a very similar situation to Scott Parkers last year.

Comparing him to Walcott is slightly unfair. Theo has missed several games because of injury, (and because he was sent on holiday) and international commitments. He has played in several reserve team games too. I think he would have featured on Saturday, but RvP was returning, which is far more important.

Drogba scores, Fulham players complain, ref checks with linesman who handed flagged, ref then gives handball against Drogba, books him and disallows the goal!!!

What's that going to do for player discipline? How can the ref allow the players to force him into changing his decision? The fall-out from this will be huge!

But he did hand ball it.. it was the correct decision. Why is there going to be a fallout?

To be fair, does anyone know know what angle the linesman was viewing it from?

If he was around the 18 yard line then there's very little way he could have seen it, but perhaps looking at the incident from behind at the half way line it would probably have been much clearer.

Looked like he was more or less on level with the drogba and the defender.

But it was the right decision.

Drogba certainly knows it, and perhaps won't try it on like that again.

The only replay that sky showed was from way up in the stand, not the view that the linesman had and certainly can't prove that he couldn't see it.

People are forever complaining when linesmen get it wrong, what's wrong with credit where it's due?

Tough luck Jose, life goes on :D

Deinitely, no-one will start ahead of Beckham until after the WC.
SWP 'should' be picking up a PL winners medal this season too, that would never of happened if he'd stayed at City.
The fact is Walcott hasn't played a competitive game for his new club yet, basically because he's not ready, SWP isn't ready to start every game for Chelsea, very similar if you ask me:)

Because the players made him change his mind. If he had gone to the linesman of this own accord with no outside pressure that's one thing. But the players surrounded him and influenced the ref. Just because they were justified, doesn't make it right. Players always think they're right but the FA is fining clubs for allowing their players to surround the ref. In this case, the players' actions caused the ref to change his decision. Right or wrong, the ref's decision should be final.

How much are Andy Gray and Martin Tyler ****-stirring. Please stop going on about it! It was the correct decision and you weren't looking at the same angle the linesman had, please stop stirring.

He did go of his own accord, he did not signal a goal and he calmed the fulham players down and told them to wait before he went over and consulted his official.

How the linesman saw it does not matter the decision is correct, as proven by the replays.

As far as I could see, the players didn't make him change his mind. Watch the replay again. You can clearly see that the ref doesn't signal the goal and is telling the players to wait even before they've had a chance to pressure him. You could tell he was unsure and wanted to check.
