Weird stuff that you did, that you thought no-one else did?

I'm quite worried that you thought process seems to be 'ah /b/ do it to - I must be normal!'

Our quirks just make us more 'interesting' :)

No way would I consider seeing a doc to manage my small amount of OCD either, anti-depressants FTL :(

I never did the running alongside the car thing (you strange people! :p)...

I used to count red cars or lorries or whatever I could think of to pass the time on a long journey tho...

I used to do something similar, but I'd find a spec of dirt of similar on the window and by moving my head around try and make it not hit any obstacles in my field of vision.

That's very common I think you'll find, kind of like a game with water droplets on the window :)

I seem to have done almost everything in this thread at some point... *needs help*

I'm 23 and I still do a similar thing as the OP - not exactly the same but very hard to explain. Basically I try and find a way through cars around the car i'm travelling without touching them, so I have to "jump" from one side of the road to the other, in between cars.

When I'm reading or just see a random word, I stop and spell out the word using a keyboard layout in my head. Then just continue reading, or go about my day. :p Jeez, I feel nuts!

My fingers have twitched to reach ctrl + f when reading new scientist before... :(

I used to dream I travelled everywhere via water slide, exactly like the advert thats televised now. I reckon the creator used to think the same thing.

OMG, lol, I also do exactly what the OP describes.

It's usually just a normal person running extremely fast, adjacent to the car; sometimes it's something slightly different like a tiger like creature or something huge like a transformer.

You may have mild reverse-synaesthesia? :D

Possibly or just an active imagination? i have noted imagined sounds based on unconscious expectations, like someone often being in a particular room playing a game or watching tv etc but not actually being there at that time, though this has rarely happened.

Oh yeah i remember two more and these are weird, they're from when i was quite young and had forgotten all about until just a number of years ago.

When i was in bed and still awake at night or early in the morning while it was still dark, i could sometimes see dots of colour and small distorted shapes floating about in the air, these actually seemed to be there as they didn't move with my eyes.

The other was i could somehow induce the feelings you get to the onset of sleep paralysis just by thinking it, i really don't know how but i could just do it, it feels like electrical vibrations throughout the body in a weird but good way, sadly since remembering i've tried but can't seem to bring it on, ill keep trying though! :p

What the hell... I also did that, sort of.

I'd find a mark on the window of the car and move my head slightly so it 'jumped' the 'obstacles'.

When I was younger, when I went shopping with my mum, when it came to packing at the till, I used to use the conveyor belt as a little treadmill for my fingers (index and middle) and used to make my fingers run and jump over the oncoming obstacles of food and do flips and things :p

I still do it sometimes much to the annoyance of my girlfriend who keeps demanding that I help pack, but screw that, I wanna do cool tricks on the conveyor belt with my lil running finger man :D

On long car journeys I used to imagine a character running alongside the car, jumping over obstacles.

:eek:Yep I used to do this on long car journeys when I was younger also I would imagine character/car plowing into objects exploding and hurtling through the air. I put this down to far to much gaming lol!

I used to imagine a massive blade extending from the car, just slicing everything at about hedge height, so everything was perfectly level. +1 to most of above as well.

Does anybody else pick a bit of bird poo or mark on their windscreen and use it has a machine gun to blast other motorists off the road?
