Weird stuff that you did, that you thought no-one else did?

I used to sit there and close one eye, open the other visa versa repeatedly to make things seem like they're hitting into people.

The problem with that one is you get some funny looks.

Almost the same, I spend a lot of time watching things move when I open one eye compared to the other, I think that's pretty common though. I also see slightly different tones of colour through each eye so it adds to the experience :D

I've just had a revelation of sorts. Reading 4chan's /b/ (a dangerous hobby!) I discovered other people do this too:

On long car journeys I used to imagine a character running alongside the car, jumping over obstacles.

Haha that's amazing. I used to do that too when I was young! Except I used to imagine a character on a bicycle, since I used to enjoy riding. I used to try and imagine a motobike as that would be more fun but I coudln't. Always a cyclist.

Heh.

Staring at a lightbulb so that when I closed my eyes I had a sphere of light which I could then bounce around inside my eyes.

I always (when sitting in the passenger seat) have tried to look out of the window and look at the cats eyes on the road and try and match them to the beat of the music in the car.

Always have done that since i was little, and still do now. Pretty weird little game for me!

EDIT - Oh and another one, this one is from my girlfriend who has a VERY weird obsession with this. She cannot stand on 3 drains linked it is bad luck...but she HAS to stand on 2 drains linked because it is good luck. She has all these other weird rules aswell.

She will liteally cross the street to stand on 2 drains and come back over to me. She is weird. But now i do it!, not to the extent of her though.

NUTTER!

When i was a kid i would never walk on all 3 those 3 manhole cover things you seen on pavements, if i stepped on the first 2 i would jump over the third as i thought it was bad luck, acctualy i still do that now.

I've spoken to a mate and he did this too, I asked a female friend and she didn't. I don't do it any more (as I'm always driving), but I suddenly felt a lot less like a freak. I'm obviously not going to link to the 4chan thread, but did anyone on here do this too? Was there anything else you did as a child and mistakenly thought you were the only one to do it?

I used to think of RC planes/helis, cars, or even funky RC frisbees/ufo things flying next to the car.

Also crazy hedge trimmers that could trim all the hedges while you drove past at high speed, the things would automatically detect obstacles and retract.

Walking down a busy street I'd imagine I was in a racing car and other people were also. I'd pretend to get up close behind them then drop it down into 4th as I went past, then down into 3rd as I sped off. Noises are optional.

Totally did that too. Even down to the shifting down, sometimes several gears!
