Weißgold - Silverstone Sponsored ITX

I wouldn't spray a fan as I'd be worried about putting too much on and disrupting the air, but they do look awesome :D

I needed an eLoop anyway as a rad fan.

Finally some pics!!!

Right now there's not much going because stuff is still on it's way, but I've been playing around with stuff (mainly due to boredom :p)

The i7 and VRMs here, couldn't get a decent light on the CPU but this is mainly to show the design of the VRMs which I LOVE :D

Here's the bare south bridge, cleaned off the solid pink crap and replaced with MX2.

And the south bridge heatsink, tiny but also very nice IMO:

A quick shot of the state of my desk :p

The 770 in bits, IO plate removed, shroud removed, backplate removed (currently running like this as well :p)

A shot of the rear of the RAM, that sticker will have to come off. Might leave the glossy decals though, they are black and the text looks quite nice and almost golden.

Uploading more now.

Oh, I know this motherboard.
I will give you one piece of advice, you need some solid airflow around north bridge, it heats up like crazy (you will see). Almost burned my fingers when I first touched it.
I fixed it by placing a 40mm fan on top of the case, blowing air towards back of the case.
Temps dropped instantly.

I know, it gets crazy hot. The PSU fan is above pulling air so should be fine.

I wanted to remove the sink but couldn't be bothered with the thermal pads.

***OP HAS A BIG UPDATE***

Silverstone and OcUK have chosen my build to be sponsored!

I am in the process of finalising some parts now.

I am back after my small "holiday" ;), and have some bits to show!

I sprayed the GPU shroud with vinyl dye, will crack on with the back plate soon.

Took down that horrendous picture.

Biggest pic heavy update yet!!!

Most of my colouring bits are now here, along with a Noiseblocker and some tubing! (but not custom watercooled!?! what?!?)

3r9SBybh.png.jpg

Still waiting on some primer which they say was delivered but wasn't

Another shot of the 770 in a slightly more normal light (still a terrible pic mind, will get some better ones)

KQHcFG0h.jpg

The Noiseblocker and accessories, I LOVE Noiseblockers :D

But on to the star of the show... Plastidipping the motherboard! :D

Prepping with masking tape first.

V568WBBh.jpg

Putting little bits in the SATA connectors, covering pins, covering the 24 pin + 8 pin plugs.

A first coat!

1GGc8Wkh.jpg

Couple more...

MRAPNYsh.jpg

Done! :D

Some close ups now!

I couldn't touch the north bridge sinks, I just love them.

I also did the screws in white for a bit of contrast.

xQ0rMA9h.jpg

Same with the south bridge tbh.

Have to say I'm glad I only covered the pins on the fan headers instead of the whole connector, much prefer the finish.

AND IT WORKS!!! :D :D :D

Hopefully more to come soon. Silverstone bits should be coming in a week or two, can't wait :D

Not a fan of the painted PCB up close, but what it will look like when fully built might change... GPU looks nice though.

Ah you finally made it on :D what a mare.

Anyway, a little detail that I've only just fitted and imo really helps to top off the GPU, is that I've vinyl dyed the small SLI connector cover.

And fitted...

Did the backplate on the GPU, as well as the IO plate in white. Pretty much finished the GPU now.

A shot showing the backplate better.

Top shot.

An (awful) shot, with the wrong PSU, cooler, and case, but at least it shows some of the parts together. :p
