complete farce of a company. order tv for delivery tues, it then decided it would deliver it saturday, phoned up, lady changed it for tues on the friday, discovered i was off sunday, so arranged for yesterday, so yesterday amazon tracking sayiny due for delivery yesterday, but strangely said it wasn't out for delivery but due that day, phoned up to check, guy said yeah there 8pm, 8pm arrived and no tv, phoned back up n lady explained it was never coming yesterday but tues as planned, thats fine, just wish wasnt lied too n stayed in all day for nothing. so while in work got email saying you tv has been delivered, like wtf its monday im in work n no one home, where has it been put too n who signed for it. shot home at 2pm to be greeted by this. left on doorstep n chucking it down with rain.

anyway amazon didnt give a toss, said they would replace but not available till next, cant get it cheaper elsewhere plus got 24 months payment with zero interest.

I'm curious why such a high value item (or is it cheap ?) didn't require the one time passcode to give to the driver at delivery ?
Depends on the area apparently, some areas don't require it. I get it all the time like £70+ now

Was this an Amazon item, Amazon fulfilled marketplace seller or seller fulfilled marketplace? Who actually delivered it?

got it just shy of £500, not major, but still decent amount
Stupid of them not to issue a passcode given then they don't even bother to put it in a brown bow, could have easily have been stolen if nobody was to answer the door, you have an honest delivery driver at least though

It's poor yeah, but I'd take it inside and move on with life personally. I've turned up to see similar as well just leaning on the front door. It's a chance the courier has taken to meet quota I guess. if you claimed you never received it, they would be in the **** because it's not left in a safe place. If they did not take a picture then that's also not good for them and you would in any case be sent a new one without much hassle I suspect. So when this happens, it is open to abuse by the receiver to take it inside and claim not received. Most people don't do this though and the courier and amazon just don't care coz the majority don't and they just want to ship, ship, ship £ £ £ to keep the merry go round spinning.

I mean it's nicely camouflaged with the door no? :)

Surprised they've not offered a free month of Prime or something on top of replacing the TV in that case, though I wouldn't hold out for much more than that if they're replacing the whole TV as it is
that will be cancelled, got 40 quid off amazon branded stuff. the usual sorry thing
