Well I fell down the custom keyboard world.

Just ordered the Neo75 Cu from a few comments on here (again, we can blame @jinxpad for this...) and seeing a few videos on it. First 75% board for me since starting this hobby back in 2018 but looking forward to building one again.

Really cool to see the hotswap PCB supports 7u space, stepped caps and split backspace, haven't seen that ever before.

Looks like delivery is in Feb so not too long to wait! (in comparison to waiting almost 2 years for GMK Sumi...)

75% is the sweetspot for me, I used to love TKL, Was a bit apprehensive making the switch when I did but now that I'm used to it it's definitely my favorite layout. I've tried 65% and it's just a bit too small and missing the F Keys it was something I personally couldn't get used to it.

There are still some tkl/80% boards I like, I'm really tempted to try out the crush 80 but to be honest after having just purchased my sonnet, I think my wallet needs a rest... At least for a little bit xD

That is sounding like a wonderful build mate!! Don't thank me just yet though, You are in the rabbit hole now and your wallet might not forgive you before you know it!!!

Tell me about it, I can't wait to feel FR4 for the first time and experience an upgrade to the Zealeo's V2. Actually never even tried foam in a keyboard, never mind a real gasket mount!!!

On the subject of cost, it starts with a $100 keyboard then ends with your credit card company contacting you about unusual activity. LOL.

Genuinely wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the toys!

FR4 is my favourite plate, Although I would love to try polycarbonate because of the deeper sound it would likely give, I think that it's just a bit too flexy for me, I actually prefer a sturdier feel personally but I don't like too high of a pitch in the sound which you get from stiffer plates like copper, brass or aluminum. FR4 Strikes the right balance for me in terms of stiffness and giving that nice sound signature.

Well for those holding their breathe over me and my MonsGeek M1 V5 VIA DIY kit...it's taken 4 days from being picked up by "Yanwen" to leaving the country. And I've heard they're not a very reputable delivery company so fingers crossed it arrives this side of Christmas!

Yeh I'm guessing any overseas shipments gonna be rough around this time. With regards to Yanwen, they recently handled shipping for some keycaps I bought from Unikeys, didn't take too long and the tracking info was updated quite frequently.
