Westfields... any experts?

This is why I will be buying a pre built. I dont have the knowledge or expertiese to do any major building myself :(

That's very true!

Building a kit car is a great way to learn about vehicles in general.
 
Cortina brakes are more than adequate for most 7's. I know of people that have upgraded to vented disks, and then gone back to non-vented simply because they offer virtually no advantage, but a fairly large unsprung weight penalty. Ditching the heavy iron calipers for the alloy Wilwood/Hispec items is a sound move from this perspective alone.
 
For anyone who thinks that Duratecs or Pintos are slow and rubbish...

Just watched the Gurston Speed Hill Climb on Motors TV, My god there are some stupid fast Duratec Westies and Pinto engined everythings!

The Hyabusa powered single seaters are in a league of their own though!
